Chairperson's Report
The Trustees of The Physiotherapy Trust continue to present the charity in
accordance with its constitution: the aims of The Physiotherapy Trust ITPTI remaln
as Inltially set out.
Covid Pandemlc: All documentation regarding recent chanBes to Tpfs Constitution
for the allowance for Wirtual. Meetin8s was submitted to OSCR. During the
continuation of the C-19 pandemic, Tpfs Domiciliary Physiotherapy service operated
In Ilne wlth UK Government restrictions: our 'State Re81stered' {Health and Care
Professions Council). Chartered Physiotherapists practiced within Professional
guidellnes and maintained contact with NHS colleagues (Consultants, CNS, Physi0s1.
On the dirertion of related governing bodies, TPT formulated various patient-related
documents: Risk Assessment, Remote Tria8e, Si8ned Consent and On-going Triage
and Consent: an auditable 5VStem of C-19 documentatlon was establlshed and
utlllsed.
Multl le Sclerosi
ers Branch
MSSB8 - Virtual and Face to Face patient
treatment continued, coupled with valuable patient-related dlscussions between our
two charities. At a TPT-MSSBB September 2020 meeting: the shared cost of PPE,
reduced but continued financlal oirtlay and lack of fundralsin8 OPPOrtunitles were
central topics and concerns.
M Name'5 Doddie Foundation
MNDF: Since our inau8ural meetln8 on 19th
February 2020 and despite TPT'S regular courteous communications, no contact has
been received from MNDF or its nominated NHS colleagues. It must be surmised that
the demands of C-19. have rendered thls new project paused. In May 2021, TPT
returned the full grant to MNDF.
Fund Raisin
Via Funding Scotland, some 'C-19 tlme sensltlve. funds were open to
applications but as TPT was mlnimally active, application was invalid. Third Sector
articles reported the challen8es of established small charities. sugge5tin8 that
donator5 favoured charities responding to the immediate impact of C-19.

Goin
Forward
Despite there belng no local Publlc Sector on-80ing domictliary physiotherapy for
patients with life limiting conditions, TPT has had no contatt from organisations with
whom we have previously offered collaborations induding fellow Third Sector
organisations and the local publlc sector. Unsurprisingly, there is now a resultant
increased demand for Private Physiotherapy. Concurrently, TPT was unable to
predict if and when, it would recover its pre-pandemic treatment hours level.
subsequently. TPT'S inability to offer surety of earnin& resulted In unpredictable
staffing commitment.
Reflectin8 the lack of uptake for Tpfs domiciliary Physiotherapy service, our
dlminished fund raisin8 Opportunities, continued running expenses, unpredictable
future demand and subsequent staff commitment challenges, unfortunately this
charity has become unviable and unsustainable. Our Trustees agree that The
Physiotherapy Trust Should cease Its actlvltie5 and Its closure procedure will
commence in line with OSCR regulations.
