The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation ISCIOI governed by its constitution.
The structure of the organi5ation consist of the Charity Trustees who are also the organisation'5 only members
and comprise the orEanisatlon's Board.
Charity trustees are appointed by the Board and can be:
any person aged 16 or over,. andloi
any individual who has been nominated for membership by and unincorporated organisation,. and
lor
any corporate body, who subscribes to the purposes of the organisation and wishes to see them
The Board is responsible for the management and adrninistration of the charity and are supported by 7
members of staff and a team of volunteers who deliver the services.

Objectlves & Actlvities
The charity has been established to advance the health and edLtcation of people who have experienced or been
affected by the trauma of sexual abuse at any time in their lives.
To achieve the above purposes the charity provides-.
Free and confidential counselling, 5UPPDrt, and group activities for adults and children lage 8+1, of
all genders, who have experienced the trauma of sexual abuse at any time in their lives
Training and awareness raising 5esslons on the impact of sexual abuse, locally and in the wider
community.
A¢hlevements & Performance
Hear Me provides a highly specialised counselling se￿iCe for adults and children lage 8+1, of all genders. who
have experienced the trauma of seKual abuse at any time in their Sives.
Hear Me also provides specialist training and continues to raise awareness of the issue of sexual abuse locally
and in thÈ wider community.
We have 4 Trvstee5.
We have 7 part-time staff. We also have 12 volunteers within the organisation who are involved in a range of
duties including, counsellin& awareness raising, fundraising and acting as trustees.
During the year 2025126 we..
Received 97 referral offering 2481 counselling appointments and 470 Support Appointments.
Delivered in-house training for staff and volunteers
Dellvered 2 Group programmes of Season's for Growth for adult5 and children
Held awareness raising events at Schoo15, Colleges, NHS buildings, Angus Countll buildings, and at
carious community events throughout Angus.

Flnanclal Revlew
The income for the year was £220.647, primarily from grants. With expenditure of £208,664 Hear Me had 3
surplus for the year of £11.983. At the 31 March 2026 the charity held total funds of £97,838 of which £43.010
were restricted funds to be Spent as specified by the donor. and £54,828 were unrestricted funds.
Reserdes Policy
The Trustee5 aim to build up a general reserve of at least £53.000, equivalent to just over 3 months running
costs, to ensure that the charity has sufficiènt funds to meet liabilities as they fall due, and shoLJld income
reduce substantially, provide time to provide alternative fundlng or wind up the charlty In an orderly fashion
with minirn31 disruption to beneficiaTie5.
At 31 March 2026 the charity held a general reserve of £54,828, exceeding their target.

Independent Examiner's Report
I report on the accounts of Hear Me for the year ended 31 March 2026, whlch are set out on pages 7
to 10.
Responsibilities and basis of report
The charity's trustee5 are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
requirements of the Charities and Trustees Investment Iscotlandl Act 20051"the 2005 Act"} and the
Charities Accounts IS£otlandl Regulations 20061"the 2006 Re8ulatlons"l.
I have sat15fied myself that the charity is not subject to audit under regijlation (Iollllldl of the 2W6
Regulations and is eligible for Independent Examination. I have therefore examined the charity's
accounts as required under section144lllllcl of the 2005 Act and Regulation 11 of the 2006
Regulations. In carrying out my examination I have followed the guidance issued to Independent
Examiners by the Office of Scottish Charity Regulators IOSCRI.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to
believe that:
I the accounting retords were not kept as required by section 44llllal of the 2005 Act and
Regulation 4 of the 2006 RegulatSons'. or
2 the accounts do not accord with those records.. or
3 the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Regulation 9 uf the 21￿6
Regulations.. or
4 there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts.

These accounts have been prepared on the receipts and payments basis in accordance with:.
