GE together with his teaching and support staff team. The Directors include GREwho is the School Principal andJ a medically quaified Doctor with a Masters in Public Health (London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine).
Mision is driven by the need to reduce poverty in the rural east of Uganda through education, where there are few opportunities for children to enjoy quality education. The school has brought many employment and business opportunities to the area during its 18 years of existence and a milling project that is benefitting the whole community, especially the peasant farmers has been established. The mill is starting to demonstrate self-sustainability. in addition to covering its operational costs which include the employment ofa bookkeeper.
This completes the initial goal of FOHSSU to enable the Hilary Storm Nursery and Primary School to become self sustainable for the longer term.

Future plans
With the implementation of the milling project, the Friends of Hilary Storm School Uganda has achieved its 10 year goal of helping the school to become self sustaining through income generating projects. At the same time, the economic situation for local farmers is being improved and employment and business opportunities in the arca have increased through the activities associated with the school.
There is still a need for entrepreneurship and business skills training, appropriate information technology and infrastructure development. In consultation with its partners in Uganda, FOHSSU is considering how these needs may best be met. It is intended that the ongoing funding in the region of £9,000 per annum for the Education Bursary Fund will continue for the time being and this will be reviewed on an annual basis.
With the foundations laid by Friends of Hilary Storm School Uganda (FOHSSU) The Hilary Storm Nursery and Primary School and Milling Projects (FOHSSU Agro Millers, known as FAM), this project is ready for further development that will continue to meet the criteria of improving education and educational outcomes, reducing poverty through income generating projects and improved health services that the rural poor can benefit from.
A new team of Trustees has been appointed with the skills needed for this next chapter of the project. This paves the way for further success in giving those living in rural poverty an opportunity to improve their income and skills for the betterment of the communities in which they live. uplifting the local economy.
