The charity delivers scouting services to young people by providing groups led by scout leaders across the age range 6-8 years (Beavers). 8 - 10 1/2 years (Cubs) and Scouts. There is also a Squirrels Group for children aged (4-6). Children meet weekly and also go on hikes, trips and camps. They are encouraged to participate in activities and to work towards badges. The charity also seeks to earn additional funding by letting out the Scout hall to third party groups and the charity maintains the Scout Hall and organises its insurance and heating. A separate group uses the facilities to provide an Explorers group for older children. The group also participates in the larger UK scouting community and pays fees to the Regional Scouting organisation. the aim of the activities and experiences provided by the charity is to further the purposes outlined in paragraph 1 above.
Objectives: The purpose of scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.
