Rhubaba was established in 2009 as an Artist Run Initiative (ARI) to support recent graduates in producing and presenting contemporary art in Edinburgh. We have a strong track record of delivering a unique public program of exhibitions, workshops, and screenings, with a focus on process-led commissioning. Operating as a non-hierarchical committee, building trust and strong relationships with artists and partners. This collaborative approach creates long-term, meaningful opportunities for emerging talent. Our core mission is to support sustainable artistic practices in Scotland’s creative industries. We help emerging artists overcome barriers and foster collaboration among creative organisations. Our approach prioritises long-term, community-driven engagement.
