CR000261 For the year ended January 2025 Introduction This annual report covers the financial period 1 February 2023 to 31 January 2024. our eleventh year of trading, our sixth year as a SCIO, but our tenth as a broadcaster of the awarded licence for Community Radio for the Kirkcaldy & District, by the regulator Ofcom. We currently rent 3 rooms at New Volunteer House with broadcast and news facility in each of the studios. Additionally, we have a license to occupy on a shop unit in the local Mercat shopping mall in Kirkcaldy for our own use at no cost to ourselves. Membershi There are now 5 appointed Trustees who continue to meet regularfy to discuss the overall running, finances, resources, an operational issues, membership and fijture direction of the station. As part of this governance, we held our AGM on the 22nd June 2025 whereby the trustees and Chair, stepped down and new roles were then Our engagement with Fife ege con Inues eve opas oes our pa ners Ip with Kirkcaldy High School and the NHS. We continue to attract new members. Our age and gender demographic, continues to become more balanced. As before, we are still registered with FVA (Fife Voluntary Action). CMA and SCVO. Communi Parks Fun Run" This year we once again partnered with the Kirkcaldy Parks Running Festival Committee becoming the official media partner of the event, which included our conducting a live broadcast for the entire parks fun run, including all three local parks, traffic updates. on the spot interviews, requests on air etc. We have been asked to do the same for this next year. huchristmas Li hts= Another community offering was our collaboration with 'We Love Oor Lang Toun,, local schools, local theatre, business owners and Fife Council to re-establish the turning on of the Christmas Lights event in our High Street. This was well received and well-publicised. Mercat Unit- This has already been used by a local charity and as a gathering point for key events. It is hoped that we will continue to develop it as a community space. Regular. varied programmes have continued throughout 2024 and resulted in our listening
audiences and followers continue to grow as evidenced through our ‘Listen Again’ online facility.

Alex Airnes continued his contract in this role whilst remaining a member. The post is under annual review.

Community Radio Awards: We had a successful year at the Community Radio Awards this year with 5 nominations
Income and expenditure
The attached audited figures will show our income for the year was £10,420.19 whilst our expenditure was £31,790.34 resulting in an nett deficit of -£21,370.15 leaving a closing balance on the 1[st] February 2024 of £16568.99 for the financial year. We have met with some additional technical costs this year so far.
Future
We have plans to continue to evolve both in the local community and in fostering new partnerships through the utilisation of our Mercat unit, in partnership with other organisations such as Fife Council, Greener Kirkcaldy and various local projects which should ensure we are remain financially stable.
