CASHMIR Report of the Trustees FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024 Introdurtlon As we reflect on the past year. we acknowledge the resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment of our charity in the face of significant challenges. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic shaped our operations post pandemic, particularly as we transition to a more digital approach in delivering our services when engaging with our volunteers. Despite the struggles we have encountered, our focus remains steadfast: to provide essential support to the disadvantaged children of Kashmlr. Challenges and Reslllence The shift to a more digital landscape has not been without its difficulties, Many of our beneficiaries and stakeholders faced barrier5 to accessing digital resources, making it challenging to maintain the same level of engagement and support due to lack of funding. The transition requires investment in new technologies, training for our team and innovative ways to reach those in need but that means crucial funding should not be a hinderance. Our volunteers have kept us providing assistance by way of knowledge transfer and engaging with other charities to a55iSt in dellverlng much needed asslstance necessary to alleviate poverty and hunger. Additionally, the health of our trustees has played a signlficant role In shaping the past year. Several key members have faced personal health challenges, affecting their ability to contribute at full capacity. Yet, despite these difflculties, the spirlt of perseverance has prevailed. Our dedicated team has stepped up to ensure that our mission contlnues, demonstrating the resilience that defines our charity. Achlevements and Pmgress While 2024 presented many obstacles, it also reinforced the importance of adaptabllity and strategic focus. Some key areas of progress include: Strengthening our digital infrastructure to improve outreach and communication. Continuing to provlde essential aid and educational support to children in Kashmir despite logistical hurdles. Securing new partnerships to sustain our programs and widen our impact. Engaging volunteers and supporters in innovative ways to maintain a sense of community and shared purpose. Looklng Ahead to 2025 As we move into 2025, we are determined to get our charity back on track to deliver much-needed support to the children of Kashmir. Our focus will be on:
Rebuilding and expanding our programs to pre-pandemic levels. Enhancing our fundraising efforts to ensure financial sustainability. Prioriti5ing the well-being of our trustees and team to ensure continued leadersh ip and stabllity. strengthening community engagement both locally and internationally. With renewed focus and determination, we are confident that 2025 will be a year of growth, impact, and revitalisation. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our supporters, partners, and volunteers who have stood by us through these challenging times, Together, we will continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the chlldren we serve.
