Caithness KLICS supports any Young Carers in Caithness under the age of 18 years- a young carer is a child that cares for a family member, physically or emotionally

Objectives: To promote the benefit of young carers of Caithness and its environs and to provide recreational facilities, or organise recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. In furtherance thereof but not otherwise, the organisation shall seek: To build a network of support for young carers in Caithness by awareness of existence of young carers and their needs. To promote the wellbeing of young carers by providing opportunities to raise confidence, self-esteem and to help identify the value of their role. To work with statutory and voluntary agencies to support and encourage young carer’s educational achievements and to help them access normal childhood activities. To provide opportunities for respite from their caring role.
