Is a Scottlsh Charltsble Incorporated Organlsatlon {SCIO) and Is governed by Its constltutlon.
Structure, Goveman¢e and Management
The structure of the or8anisation conslsts of the charity trustees who are also the organlsatlons onlv
members and comprlse the organlsation board.
A wrltten appllcation must be submltted to the board for any Individual or body wlshln8to become
truslee and the appllcation wlll be consldered by the board. The mlnlmum number of trustees Is
thrée wlth maxlmum number of trustees belng twelve. Trustees must retlre from Off1￿ at the
AGM and are ell8lble to re-electlon. There Is currently no formal Indurtlon and tralnlng pro8ramme
for new trustees

dlscussed, and any Sssues addressed.
Physlcal projects / Artlvltles: _
Douglas Communlty Park 5s now an establlshed space *thich local people and visitors use
daily. Chlldren, youn8 people and adults use the space for recreation• playi Sport and
meetln8 UP.
Over the last 3 years DCSG, often In partnershlp wlth other partners, have hosted rnanv
actlvities. Weekly prograrnmés and maintenance are orBanlsed. DCSG work wlth the local
mana8ement 8roup to dellver free activitles helpln8 local people who are struggllng with the
cost of Ilvlng.
Nationally, Dou8las Communlty Park, In partnership wlth Scottlsh Watsr, has been
recognlsed at Scottlsh Government level and has been Included as a case study of
partnershlp worklng to dellver multlple beneflts In the Scottlsh Governmènvs new Flood
silience Strategy
Challenges
Board mernbers reco8nls¢ that they need to attract more volunteers to tske thelr •mbltlous
programme forward. Work has started to establish Ilnks and partnershlp$.
Due to the cost-of-Ilvln8 crlsls and challen8ln8 publlc seclor budgets, Trustee volunteers
Iwho all belon8 to a number of other groups) flnd thelr capaclty to undertake tralnln8 and
wider actlvity developrnent Is becomlng more restrlcted as attention Is foeussed on
dellverln8 free and low cost actlvltles.
DCSG have recelved thelr flnal years fundln8 from the Natlonal Lottery. Futurefundln8 wlll
be requlred to allow for a sustalnable trnnsltlor*.

I report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 3111 March 2025, which are set out on the
accompanying pages.
Respectlve responslbllltles of trustees and •￿MIner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance wlth the
terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment Iscotlandl 2005 Act and the Charities Accounts
{Scotlandl Re8ulations 2(KJ6. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulatlon
101 l) {dl of the Account Re8ulatlons does not apply. It Is my responslbllity to examine the accounts
?$ requlred under section 44{1) Ic) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have corne to
my attention.
Basis of Independent Examlnerfs statefflent
My examination Is carried out In accordance wlth Regulatlon 11 of the Charltles Accounts (Scotlandl
Regulatlons 2006. An examlnatlon Includes a revlew of the accountlng records kept by the charity
and a compar5son of the accounts presented wlth those records. It also includes consideration of anv
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustee5 concernin8
any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be
requlred in an audlt and, consequently, I do not express an audit oplnion on the accounts.
Independent examlneVs ststement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention
whSch 8lves me reasonable cause to belleve that Sn any materlal respect the requlrements:
o To keep accounting records In accordance with section 44(11 (al of the 2005 Act and
Regulatlon 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and
o To prepare accounts whlch accord with the accountlng records and comply wlth
Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations
have not been met. or
to which, In my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper
understanding of the accounts to be reached.
