**What the charity does:** The Fraser Centre Community Trust is a community led charity who have built a new community hub for learning, development, arts &amp; entertainment, employment &amp; training in the heart of Tranent, East Lothian.

**Objectives:** 4 The organisation&#x27;s purposes are: 4.1 To promote the Fraser Centre building as a quality local venue accessible to the whole community without distinction of sex, or political, religious or other opinions, by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Tranent and surrounding areas. 4.2 To advance education by facilitating and coordinating training activities and classes to engage all members of the community and in particular aimed at supporting people who face social and economic challenges. 4.3 To hold education, arts and entertainment activities including conferences, training projects, concerts and a cinema, with a focus on family entertainment. 4.4 To involve volunteers to help ensure the services offered meet the needs of the community, and help to provide new skills and perspectives and increase our contact and involvement with the community. 4.5 To develop a small number of social enterprise initiatives to contribute to the sustainability of the organisation for example a performance space, venue Hire - conference facilities and meeting rooms, cinema, and cafe with a view to reinvest any profit/surplus back into the further development of The Fraser Centre facilities.
