The Mary Davies Trust provides a wide range of therapies to island residents referred by their GP or other medical professional. Therapies include Acupuncture, Aromatherapy, Massage, Reflexology, Reiki, Osteopathy and Psychotherapy. Suitably qualified Arran therapists are funded to provide a series of treatments to those identified by the island’s medical professionals as in need of feel-good therapy. Free appointments are prioritised by the Trust according to need and consistent with its resources. Top priority is given to those caring for loved ones as it is felt that, due to their selfless devotion to their dependants, they often overlook their own needs.The charity pays for up to four sessions per client, with up to ten further monthly sessions subsidised at 50% if required.
