STILL WATERS PERTH

Annual Report 2024/2025

During 2024/2025 we have had another very busy year, with an increase in the number of people that we serve to just over 3,100, and this is only on a Saturday night. We usually have a surplus of bakers supplies which we share with another three hostels, in Perth, totalling 55 people, which means that during this year, approximately 6000 people have benefited from what we do. I find this incredible that in 2025 so many people need help.

As you may know, we also help Letham Climate Challenge ( Swap Shop ) once a week, and this year we have been able to help a number of people who have moved from a hostel to their own accommodation, by moving furniture and other household goods for them, to help start a new life.

We are grateful to the Bayne family and the Williamson family (Murrays the baker) who generously give us all that is left over, in their shops, on a Saturday night, and without them we couldn't help as many people.

A special thanks to those who donate on a regular basis as without their support we couldn't keep going with this vital work. We are so blessed with each and every volunteer, who freely gives of their time and resources every week, come rain, hail and even in snow. So a big thank you to each one of you.

As I’ve said many times before, but is so true – “we may not be able to change the world, but we may change the world for one person” and that makes it all worthwhile.

The Charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1)(d) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations does not apply. An examination includes a reviewof the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently | do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

Independent examiner’s statement

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention

  1. Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements:
