The trustees present their annual report and financial stslemenls for the year ended 31 October 2025.
The financial slalemenls have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies sel out in note 1 to the
rinancial slalemenls and comply with the charity's governing document, the Companies Act 2006, the Charities and
Trustee Investment (Scotlandl Act 2005, the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl Regulations 2008, FRS 102 "The
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland and the Charities SORP 'Accounling
and Reporting by Charities.. Slalement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021"

The charitable company is established to bring the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ lo the men of the United
Kingdom.
Public benefit
The Iruslees have paid due regard lo guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the
charity should undertake.
CVM exists to proclaim the Christian gospel by working ¥Mlh churches lo introduce men in the UK lo Jesus Christ
and operates across the nation wherever churches seek lo develop their outreach ID Jesus Christ, their
communities and beyond.
CVM believes that the Christian faith is a benefit lo ￿tietY and individuals through transforming men's lives and the
Impact on themselves. their families and society as a whole. CVM works with ehurches and partner organisalions 1¢
tackle many social issues that are primarily a problem with I for men. Violence against women (Resloredl., Working
lo asSISt men addicted lo pornography (Naked Truth and Covenant Eyes),. sponsorship of children across the world
Icompassionl., encouraging men lo volunteer for short term Mission trips abroad (Tear Fund and Mission Directi.
This list indicates that CVM works out ils Public Benefit in a number of ways and seeks lo demonstrate this benefit
through ils acliviliès in the UK as detailed throughout thè Trustees rèport.

the Charities Commission.
Flnanclal revlew
The accounts show 8 decrease in income of £22,257, £556,104 compared lo £578,361 in 2024. The level of
donations is slowly diminishing over lime, a trend identified by the trustees which is more reflective of the current
climate for charitable giving rather than a specific issue with the Charity. The Iruslees have however, with the
support of senior management been able lo reduce operating expenditure by £67,471, £528.006 compared lo
£595,477 in 2024. A significant element of this has been achieved by bringing the Charity's finance functions in
house.
The end result for the year is a surplus of £28,098, which has relumed the Charity lo positive reserves.
'The Gathering, event made a small deficit, however, the event is edging closer lo a positive result year by year and
the Iruslees remain confident the Charity will continue lo host the event. Costs are carefully controlled in order lo
miligale as much risk as possible.

The trustees policy is lo aim lo relain sufficient cash and liquid assets lo meet commitments in case the charitsble
company ceases lo operate. Vvherever possible we would consider this to be 2 months salaries and overheads.

Power lo appoint Iruslees rests wlh the board of Iruslees, by reference to a process defined in the Articles.
Ooanisational structure
The running of the charitable company is overseen by a board of trustee$ whose member3 are dire¢lgrs within the
meaning ol the Companies Act 2006.The trustees meet two lo three times each year lo oversee the ministry and
staff. In between truslees'meelings, the Chief Executive Officer meets regularly with the Chairman of Trustees. CVM
aims lo have about five trustees who together bring lo the board a selection of competencies such as evangelism,
accountancy, human resources and management. The chairman is elected every year al the AGM, and Iruslees
serve for a Ihree-year term, when they may be re•elecled by other Iruslees.

as auditor of the company will be pul al a General Meeting.

Each of the trustees has confimied that there is no information of which thèy are aware whieh is relevant lo the
audit, but of which the auditor is unaware. They have further confirmed that they have taken appropriate steps lo
identify such relevant information and lo establish that the auditor is aware of such information.

The Iruslèes, who are also the diieclors of Christian Vision for Men for the purpose of company law, are responsible
for preparing the Trustees Report and the financial slalemenls in accordance with applicable law and United
Kingdom Accounting Standards Iuniled Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Praclicel.
Company law requires the Iruslees lo prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair
view of the stale ol affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the
income and expenditure, of the charitable company for that year.
In preparing these financial slalements. the Iruslees are required lo.,
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consislenlly.,
observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP,.
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent., and
prepare the financial slalemenls on the going concern basis unless il is inappropriat8 lo presume that the charity
wll continue in operation.
The Iru81ee8 are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuraey at
any lime the financial position of the charity and enable them lo ensure that the financial slalemenls comply with the
Companies Act 2006, the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scollandl Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts
Iscollandl Regulations 2006. They are also responsible lor safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for
taking reasonable steps lor the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

requirements that are relevant lo our audit of the financial statements in the UK, including the FRC'S Ethical
Standard, and we have fulfilled our other ethical responsibilities in accordance with these requirements. We believe
that the audit evidence we have obtained is sufficient and appropriate lo provide a basis for our opinion.
Concluslons relatlng to golng concorn
In auditing the financial slalemenls, we have concluded that the Trustees use of the going concern basls of
accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate.
Based on the work we have performed, we have not identified any material uncertainties relating lo events or
conditions that, individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the charity's ability lo continue as a going
concern for a period of al least twelve months from when the financial slalemen16 are aulhorised for issue.

Charty information
Christian Vision for Men is a pnvale company limited by guarantee incorporated in England and Wales. The
registered office Is Slaveley Melhodisl Church, Chesterfield Road, Slaveley, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S43
3XD.
1.1 Basls of preparat5on
The financial slalements have been prepared in accordance with the charity's governing document, the
Companies Act 2006, the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scollandl Act 2005, the Charities Accounts
(Scollandl Regulations 2006, FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic
of Ireland" and the Charities SORP Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Slalemenl of Recommended
Practice applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021" The charity is a Public Benefi't Enlily as defined by
FRS 102.
The financial statements are prepared in slerfing, which is the functional currency of the charity. Monetary
amounts in these financial slalements are rounded to the nearest £.
The financial slalemenls have been prepared under the historical cost convention. The principal accounting
policies adopted are sel out below.
1.2 Golng concem
Al the lime of approving the financial slalemenls, the Iruslees have a reasonable expectation that the charity
has adequate resources lo continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the Iruslees
continue lo adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial stalernenls.
1.3 Ch8rltsblo funds
Unrestricted funds are available for use al the discretion of thè Iruslèes in furtherance of their charitable
objectives.
Restricted funds are subject to specific conditions by donors or grantors as lo how they may be used. The
purposes and usès of the reslricled funds are sel out in the notes lo the financial slalemènls.
1.4 Income
Income is recognised when the charity is legally entitled lo il after any performance conditions have been mel,
the amounts can be measured reliably, and il is probable that income will be received.
Cash donations are recognis8d on receipt. other donations are recognis8d once th8 charity has been notified
of the donation, unless performance conditions require deferral ol the amount. Income lax recoverable in
relation lo donations received under Gift Aid or deeds of covgnant is re¢ogni$ed at the lime of the donation.
Legacies are recognised on re￿Ipl or otherwise if the charity has been notified of an impending distribution,
the amount is known, and receipt is expected. If the amount is not known, the legacy is Irealed as a
conlingenl asset.

1.6 Expendlture
Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal or constructive obligation lo transfer economic benefit to a
third party, il is probable that a transfer of economic benefi'ts will be required in selllemenl, and the amount of
the obligation can be measured reliably.
Expenditure is classified by aclivily. The costs of each activity are made up of the lolal of direct costs and
shared costs, including support costs involved in undertaking each activity. Direct costs allribulable lo a single
activity are allocated directly lo that aclivily. Shared Costs which contribute to more than one activity and
support costs which are not allribulable lo a single activity are appgrtioned between those activities on a basis
consistent with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on the basis of lime spent, and
depreciation charges are allocated on the portion of the asset'$ use.
1.6 Intanglble flxed assets other than goodw511
The charitable company's interest in a Timeshare in Lanzarole has in exces8 of 50 year8 to run. The asset is
recognised al cost, no amortisation is provided.
1.7 Tanglble flxed assets
Tangible fixed assets are initially measured at cost and subsequenuy measured at cost or valuation, nel of
depreciation and any impairment losses.
Depreciotion is recognised so as lo wri18 off the cost or valuation of assets less their rg$idual values ovgr their

The gain Dr loss arising on the disposal of an asset is determined as the difference between the sale proceeds
and the carrying value of the asset, and is recognised in the slalemenl ol financial activities.
1.8 Impalrment of flxed assets
Al each reporting end dale, the charity revlews the carrying amounts of Ils tanglble and Inlanglble assets lo
determine whether there is any indication that those assets have suffered an impairment loss. If any such
indication exists, the recoverable amount of the asset is estimated in order lo determine the exlenl of the

1.9 Stocks
Stocks are slated al the lower of cost and eslimaled selling price less costs to complete and sell. Cost
comprises direct materials and, where applicable. direct labour costs and those overheads that have been
incurred in bringing the stocks lo their present location and condition. Ilems held for distribution al no or
nominal consideration are measured the lower of replacement cost and cost.
Net realisable value is the eslimaled selling Pri￿ less all eslimaled costs of completion and costs lo be
incurred in marketing, selling and distribution.
1.10 Cash and cash equlvalents
Cash and cash equivalents in¢lLJde cash in hand, deposits held at call with banks. other short-lerm liquid
investments with original maturities of three months or less, and bank overdrafts. Bank overdrafts are shown
within borrowings in current liabilities.

1.11 Flnanclal Instruments
The charity has elected lo apply the provisions of Section 11 'Ba$i¢ Financial Instruments, and Section 12
'Olher Financial Instruments Issues, of FRS 102 to all of ils financial instruments.
Financial instruments are recognised in the charity's balance sheet when the charity becomes party to the
contractual provisions of the inslrumenl.
Financial assets and liabilities are offset, with the nel amounts presented in the financial slalemenls, when
there is a legally enforceable right to set off the recognised amounts and there is an intention lo settle on a net
basis or lo realise the asset and sellle the liability simultaneously.

Basic financial assets, include debtors and cash and bank balances are measured al transaction price
including transaction costs.

are considered lo be relevant. Actual results may differ from these estimates.
The eslimales and underlying assumptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions lo accounting
eslimales are recognised in the period in which the estimate is revised where the revision affects only that
period, or in the period of the revision and future periods where the revision affects both current and future
periods.

Having taken book keeping in house (previously oulsourcedl the Charity's Gift Aid claims have been delayed,
resulting in a provision for income lax recoverable being made in the accounts. This provision has been made
on the basis of expected recovery being consistent with previous years as the donors and consent are also
conslslenl.
