**What the charity does:** ATLAS Arts organises collective art projects across Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh – on the North West coast of Scotland.

**Objectives:** The Objects of the Charity (&#x27;the Objects&#x27;) are:  a) To promote the advancement of the arts, heritage, and culture by:- i. Promoting and enabling access to the visual arts and other art forms to the general public. ii. Initiating contemporary art projects of local, national and international significance that contribute to the cultural capital of Skye and Lochalsh and beyond. iii. Providing opportunities that allow for artists&#x27; growth and development in their work. iv. Commissioning contemporary visual arts with a focus on commissioning work responding to, and placed within, the environment. v. Bringing a fresh approach to the preservation and development of Gaelic and visual art.  b) To promote the advancement of education by:- i. Initiating, promoting and advancing the general public&#x27;s awareness of the visual arts and culture through a variety of learning programmes, which may take the form of exhibitions, films, conferences, performances, debates, talks, workshops, research, lectures and publications. ii. Encouraging public education in the appreciation, production and practice of the arts particularly in Skye and Lochalsh and elsewhere.  c) To promote the advancement of citizenship through:- i. Nurturing relationships with communities in Skye and Lochalsh and beyond, nationally and internationally for the advancement of arts, culture and heritage.
