Governing document
The purposes and administration arrangements of the service are set out in our constitution.
Charitable purposes
Our purposes, as recorded in our constitution, are “to provide pre-hospital emergency care on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance service in accordance with the First Responder callout system set out by the Scottish Ambulance Service.” This service directly benefits the local community by attending to those in need where appropriate earlier than the Ambulance Service can attend.
Activities and achievements
In the year, we achieved our objectives of providing an emergency First Responder resource to the Scottish Ambulance Service for the residents of Bridge of Don, Danestone and the surrounding areas. We raised sufficient funds through a generous donation from a private individual to enable us to continue to run the service. We started the year with 3 team members and at close we have 5 team members. We continue to pursue our project to raise funds and effect the installation of public access defibrillators in the local community.
Trustee remuneration and expenses
The trustees did not receive any remuneration or expenses during the year.
Reserves
At the close of the financial year, the service held £5681.19. This figure should see us through well into the next financial year as we currently have no major regular overheads to meet. The committee continues to consider suitable fundraising solutions and ways of raising awareness of our service to the local public.
Approved by the Trustees and signed on their behalf
