Activities

'the advancement of education','the advancement of environmental protection or improvement'
We are set up to promote the professional development of existing Ranger staff, and to support those people trying to get into the profession. We also provide opportunities for the public to work alongside Rangers, to raise awareness of the profession and to promote conservation generally. This is especially true of our Junior Rangers programme, aimed at 14 - 18 year olds. We try to set up and promote international twinning agreements between Ranger associations, such as the one between SCRA and our Icelandic equivalent, which has run for 28 years.
