**What the charity does:** Variations organises and runs an annual chamber music course for amateur players with professional coaching. The course includes 2 public concerts which any member of the public can attend.

**Objectives:** 4.1 Subject to the overriding qualification contained in clause 4.2 below, the SCIO&#x27;s principal purpose is to advance the education of the public in the art and science of music and in particular the art and science of chamber music in all its aspects by such ways as the SCIO through the trustees shall determine from time to time and by any other charitable means. 4.2 Clause 4.1 shall be interpreted as if it incorporated an over-riding qualification limiting the powers of the SCIO such that any activity which would otherwise be permitted by the terms of the SCIO may be carried on only if that activity furthers a purpose which is regarded as charitable.
