The Chairperson and all committee members are elected for no more than 3 years and retire in rotation, with the exception of the Treasurer and Secretary who are elected each year.

Risk Management

Internal control risks are minimised by the implementation of procedures for authorisation of all transactions and projects.

Organisational Structure

The Society has an Executive Committee responsible for the day-to-day | affairs of the Club, the selection and supervision of musical drama productions, the arranging of meetings and social activities as well as the raising of money and paying the expenses of the Club. They are, further, responsible for appointing sub-committee members as appropriate and for ensuring that the Club operates within the constitution and for ensuring it meets its legislative requirements. Objectives and Activities The Society is a non-profit distributing charity whose principal objective is the advancement of the arts in North East Fife. This is achieved by providing opportunities to rehearse and perform musical drama which, in turn, is | designed to develop the public’s appreciation of the afore-mentioned arts by giving at least one public performance each year.

Achievements and Performance

The production team started rehearsals for 9 to 5 — the Musical in August 2024 and continued through till the production in the Byre Theatre in February 2025. Many new members joined for this show and audience attendances and response were good, but slightly down on the previous year.. Unfortunately, 150 seats were left unsold at the start of the week, but towards the end all were sold. The company also managed two events to help raise the profile of the charity, as well as raising extra funds. An afternoon tea with entertainment was very popular. Members sang carols at some of the larger hotels before Christmas and there was also a charity bag pack at M&S which

was fun and with an excellent result financially. A similar range of events are planned for the next season.

Financial Review

Donations from Members and Patrons amounted to £2929 — very similar to the previous year in total, although Patrons’ donations saw a considerable uplift. The Friends of the Byre Theatre kindly donated £600 to help with production costs. Receipts from fundraising activities raised only £581 this year, but the Society plans to increase these activities next year. Ticket sales amounted to £14481 — down on the previous year. Ticket pricing and advertising will be reviewed for the 2026 [production. Total receipts over the year amounted to £21816. Payments of £25808 were made throughout the year, and the accounts show an overall deficit of £3992. The reserves will permit the Society to continue with confidence into 2025-26 The Committee will keep the Society’s financial position under review throughout 2025-26 and will take any action required to reduce costs when/if necessary.

Investment Policy The charity currently holds no expendable or permanent endowment funds.

Reserves Policy

St Andrews Musical Society has no formal policy requiring the maintenance of specific levels of financial reserves.

Plans for Future Periods

The charity can move forward with enthusiasm towards the next project which will be a production of Shrek - the Musical. This is renowned as a very popular show and participation and audiences should increase. We plan to commence rehearsals in September 2025 and to perform this at the Byre Theatre in February 2026. Other activities and fundraising events are being planned in the same form as the successful ones of the current year — Afternoon Tea with Songs, carols at local hotels and bag packing near to Christmas Approved by the Trustees and signed on their behalf: = Date: g ho 2-5 2)
