Achievements and performance Summary of the maln achlevements of We had the following important achievements in 2024. the charlty during the financial perlod We began our windsurfing and stand up paddleboarding, and thanks lo the Snauzer softwaTe donation, we were able to add in storage al Pelerhead for this new kit. This donation also paid for our 4m searider to be retubed, and for an upgrade for a number of our boats that needed some lime and attention. The donation from C-technics was also signnlcant in that it allowed us run a week of sailing for children in poverty from 8uchanhaven school. We tried lo secure funding lo conb'nue this as a youth group including food but were unsuceessftjl al first. However we did secure funding at the end of the season lo run this going forwards in 2025. We this will start the next generation coming lo a youth night. OUT Home ed saillng was also really successful, and we hope lo grow this in seasons ahead. This season we had 3 wheelchair users wantin9 10 sail at it. which gave rise to the need for another Hansa. We were delighted to be asked back to Roseheaty, and here we have group of children and teenagers who are really enjoying their sailing, and their families are beginning lo add to the local club. At the end of the period, we had more demand for Hansa sailing than we had boats for. particularly with our home e(lucalion group where 3 wheelchair usets wanted lo sail at the same time, We began the process of looking for an additronal Hnasa, and were successfvl with an application to Wooden Spoon. Th￿S will be joining the fleet in 2025 so will widen opportunities for social disability sailing, and wheelchair groups.
