**What the charity does:** Provide an opportunity for people to advance their education in music, and come together to play music, especially brass music and to support local community events. The band carries out engagements throughout the year for a wide variety of local community groups to achieve this purpose.

**Objectives:** To advance the education of people in music and in particular brass music and in furtherance thereof the Organisation shall seek: a) To facilitate the learning and playing of music, particularly that pertaining to brass. b) To participate actively and be an effective influence in the cultural activities within the community.c) To create a social em.1ronment for brass players within the Edinburgh area
