Charitable purposes
The Charitablè purposes ol The Advisory Group are as follows.
The advancement of education and awareness raising about
learnlng disabillties, through the provision of formal and
informal training in educational bodies such as school and
further education colleges, as well as in public, privète and
voluntary sectors. including Community groups.
The advancement of citizenship including the rights and
responsibilities of the citizen, through the development of
opportunities for people with learning disabilities to be more
active in their communities, involving people in communitv
activity including voluiiteering.
The promotion of equality and diversity including the
elimination of discrimination.
The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability.
financial hardship or other disadvantage, contributing to the I
prevention or relief of poverty through information atbd I
advocacy.
Summary of the maln actlvltle5
In relatlon to these objects
Our 12 TAG groups continue to promote our work across the country.
TAG has a Service Level A8reement with Key. Over the past year we
have continued to provide facilitation for engagement with the disabled
people they support.
Following on from the success of our Game Changers programme, Game
Changers Xtra-Time, funded by a second grant from the Big Lottery has
I been working with young people in transition to adult service5 to
| explore the resources available to them in Glasgow with a focus on
physical and mental wellbeing. We have co-ordinated a programme of
planning and activities to enable the young people to create a pathway
by forging new link with community resources, to map out their next
steps after they leave school.
We continue to run a rolling programme of accessible activities for
disabled people in Glasgow, working with community-based resources.
This has included drama, muslc, Sports and arts.
We embarked on a campaign to improve access to banking across
Scotland. We have engaged wlth banks and the banklng authorities to
i explain the i55ue5 arising for disabled people in an increasingly digital
world and the barriers this is crealing.
In April last year we hosted our second Strictly All Abilily dance
competition. Based on the hit TV show, Strictly Come Danclng, 10 dance
disabled dancer paired up with a professioT)al dance partner to perform
at a gala performance in Glasgow.
We were commissioned by Key to review their day services in Glasgow.
This included facilitating consultation with the people who use the

service and their family carers.
We have worked with Glasgow university to develop a disability
awarene5S training programme. This involved defining the key
messages and creating content. This will be promoted in secondary
schools across Scotland in the next academic year.
We worked with Stirling University and the Care Inspectorate to provide
consultation on the accessibility of complaints procedures.
APPENDIX 1
Achievements and performance
Summary of the maln achlevements of
the charlty durlng the flnanclal pèylod
An important Bchievement last year wa5 our Banking campaign. This was an
l issue that had been raised by our member from across the country. Post
Covid the reliance on digltal b3nkin8 and the closure of local bank branche5
was having a disproportionate impact on disabled people. People told TAG
of the issues they faced when trying to acces5 thelr own money. TAG knew
it had to support people to raise this message with the banking authorities.
Getting the banks to engage was the first hurdle, but by enlisting the help of
Glasgow MP Matin Rhodes who raised the issue in the House of Common
and contacted the maln high street banks to ask why they were not
engaging with our campaign, drastically improved the communication with
the banking authorities. TAG established a Banking tampaign steering
committee who have met with the majority of banks and the banking
regulator and have been working closely with the with Cash Access UK and
the FCA. Our members have visited a number of the new banking Hubs to
review access and have provided reports and feedback on the services they
experienced. TAG plan to hold a Banking conference in the coming year.
Over 200 disabled young people have got involved in our Game Changers
Xtra-time programme. We have been working directly with individuals to
develop a personal Aim to Goal plan and through co-ordlnating taster
sessions with community-based organisations helped ihem to explore the
options and resources available to them a5 they move into adult services. A
full programme of activities has run throughout the year including sports,
digltal technologyi arts, dance and a host of recreational and vocational
opportunities. Feedback from participants and their families has been
consistently positive.
| We were delighted with the outcomes from out second Strictly All Ability
Dance event. Around 500 people attended the inclusive gala performance in
the Hilton Hotel in GlasEow. The 10 disabled dancers and their professional
pailners put on a spectacular show showcasir>8 their hard work. The event
highlighted the gifts and talents of disabled people and challenged some of
the stereotypes disabled regularly face.
Our work with Glasgow University in producing a disability awareness
training pack for secondary schools will hopefully have an Impact in the
understanding of the gifts and talents of disabled people and how, with the
right support, disabled people can achieve the same goals and realise the
same dreams as all members of society.

This year's deficit of £24,720 fc)Ilows on from last year's surplus of £52k.
This is due lo the liming of grant payments and fundraising income and the
payment of associated invoices crossing over the financial year end 24125
and Gurrenl Iinancial year 25126.

Income received in 25126 - £9,503
As the event was held in April 2025 the main expenditure of £28,191 is
recorded in the current reporling period.
Big Lollery Grant {£40, 679} is paid annually in Seplember.
A grant from Community Lifestyles of £1 Ok was received at the end of the
financial year 24125 and the associated invoice for the project was paid
during the financial year 25126.
Donated facllltlo5 and 5ervlces lif any}
As part of the seNice level agreement with Key, in return for ¢onsullation
on their services and accessibility of their information, Key provides
venues and support through a TAG supporler lor 2.5 hours per week for
each of the 15 regional groups.
KEY also provide IT support and HR servioe for conlraclino and payroll
etc.

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance
wilh the terms of the Charities and Truslee Inveslfflenl IScolland} 2005 Act and the

does not apply. It is my responsibility lo examine the accounts as required under section
