The trustees present their rel￿ with th¢ fman¢ial statements of th¢ Charity for th¢ Y￿ cnded
31 January 2024. The trustees have ad¢[rt￿ thc provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Chariti¢
Stat¢m¢nt of ReKommMd¢d Practice aFylicable to chariii¢s weparing their acc(wnts in accordance with th¢
Financial Reportin8 Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective l January
2019).

Andrew4 and promotes artistic innovation within and across rnusical g¢nr¢

The prin¢ipal activity of the Charity is to or8anise an annual festival of vocal and choral music in St
Andrews over a weekend in the second half of Octo￿. A developing •Gtivity has been to organi
¢du￿tIonal Workshops prior to the Festivttl for IrKal groups (including a dryn¢ntia group) resulting in an
appropriat¢ involv¢ment in the Festival itsclf.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
Charitsble activities
St Andrew5 Voices is Scotland's only Festival dedicated to vocal and choral musi¢. It is a festlval with a
prestigious track-reCO￿ which seeks to brin8 tO8¢th¢r pwlc of all ageslbackgrounds and inspire them to ty
something new. However, pressures on securin8 funding and other unavoTdabl¢ factors nec¢gSitated the 2023
Feslival to be cancelle4 with the exception of aiau.inspiTed Te Deum ¢omNi&ed and
ommission¢d by the Festival. It was sung during th¢ mornin8 service in the University Chapel on Sunday
22 October 2023. FAlucational workshops for local group5 (inGludin8 a (kmentia group) have continued.
Fln*lltial positlon
The charity was mainly thnded by grants from Trnsts And Foundations of £IO.000. Donations were £2.150,
business sponsorships were £1,610 and bank cashback was £2. The total income was £13.762.
Th¢ total exp¢ndilure for the period was £19,479.
This resulted in a defictt surplus for th¢ WK)d of £5.717, which deducted from the r¢scr¥¢s at the start of the
period of £7J29, left a balance of reserves at 3 l January 2024 of £1,612.
R¢¥¢rvu policy
The Trustees consider the level of reserles whlch the Charity aspires to cany should be sulfi¢i￿rt to cover all
¢osts and finan¢iAI commitments in th¢ ev¢nt that the Charity required to cew OFTations.
The Trnstees, policy is to ￿taIn 3 monthg, worth of norn]al nmning costs in order to m¢¢t ¢ommith)ents and
to cover any unex￿ted expenditure. Three months of nornial rynnin8 Costs stsnds at £4,066 and r¢serv¢s
ar¢ below this at £1.612. How¢ver. it has been decided that the Charity will be wound up in the next year.
