Appolnlment of Truste The Charty Trustees are recruited by open adve￿$eMen[ following the completion of a skills audtl by Cu￿ent trustees. OBJECTS & ACTMTIES Charltable Purposes Inverclyde Communrty Fund SCIO (ICF SCIO) was establlshed with the following Charitable Purposes: To make grants to volunlary organisations that are based wrthin the Inverctyde area and are estatdished not for profft distn'bution and have onty charitsble purposes. To make grants to individuals based in the Inverclyde area for the purposes of providing relief of those in need by reason of age. ill hea￿h. disabilty. finan￿al hardship or any other disadvantage. The Coronavirus pandemic has continued to have a significant impact on local communiti'es. and we have focused funding to help several organisations with Covi&19 requirements and to navigat6 through their recovery. Grant4naklng During the financial year. we receNed 70 applications fN fvnd￿g, and we awarded 57 grants lotslling £52.275'. Windfann ICF So grants awarded totalling £46.025 7 grants awarded totalling £6,250 Successful reciyents varied ent)miousty coverlng areas such as developing a pilot foolball therapy course in support of mental health, warm clothing for disadvantages young children, egtsblishing a communty orchard, and energy saving led lighting. We ￿leCted 17 applications. Exarnp4es of reasons for rejection include no links to Invefctyde. no con8tifvtion, request from a business vthich was not 8 charty. All unsuccessful appllcants are signposted to other potgmtial funding sources or to Inverclyde CVS for help in setting up theii organisation the wrrect govemance. Impact Each grant recipient is invited to share feedback on the impact of the grant to their organisation arKI communtty. The trustees have used this to develop an annual impact report and to share case studies on the ICF webslte. This enables our funders to see the value of their contribution and gNes groups examples of the types of projects they can apply to have funded. ICF focuses on 'Making A Difference. by supporting hard to reach groups with small grants- usualty £500 - £10Tr). One of Ouf Irusteeg was presented wrth two top Salts"re awards: S81b're award for over 500 hours of communty Service Salts're Ambassador Award for exceptional ser¥ice to his communty. Both awards were granted as a direct re5utt of his commitment and volunteering work as a ICF Trustee. Governance This year the Trustees fem the organisation, as an e￿$ting charity, was now ready io move to the next stage of development, and we have successfully applTred to change our legal fom to a SCIO (Scottish CharilatrAe Incorporated Organisation).

ICF has robust fund management and grant making processes in place. induding clear ellgibilty ￿lterIa. to reduce financial and reputatvjnal risk to the fvnder and ICF. Fundiaising events, like Inverdyde STRIDE - Trustees tske 8 robust approach by assessing rlsk 8nd followiry local council events risk process. We took advice & support from groups such as communty police and St Andrews Arnbulan￿ First Aid. We also followed all co?￿￿19 requirements and provided Face Masks & Hand sanitizer to paFticipants and volunteer8. Profilo ICF'S profile continues to grow vithin Inverclyde. Increased grant making has helped wSth this plus a strong group of Trustees who have connections in the public. private and third sectors. Inverctyde STRIDE helped bring the communty togethei across all these sectors and buift on posrtive collaboration among th88e groups. We have strong links to Ioc81 media Sources and ensure that group5 receiving gr8nts have gained coverage and h￿ghtened their profi￿. Our on-going partnership wth Inverclyde Renewables has continued to signtficantly raise the profile of ICF and show Positive communty case studies.

Expenditure totalli￿g £59,05312021: £29,605) was made. with the main expendtture relating to expenses incurred carrying the charitable activtties. At the end of the financial period, the charity had a surplus of £19,252 which includes restricted income re￿iVed in March 2022 for distribution in In¥er¢lyde Windfarm Fund grants throughout 2022. Income Generatlon The Trustees continue to focus on generating income to enabl• us to give more grants. Focus areas have teen: Buikling our relationshlp with. and delrvering on, trle communty benefjt agreement Ihrough the WrKlfarm Fund. Providing the Impact Report enab￿S Inverclyde Renewables to easily see the value betsn provided by their fund to a wide variety of groups in Ihe Inverctyde Communty. Delivering Inverdyde STRIDE 2021 Ihis year as an actual event (instead of virtual) which raised both income for ICF and gave an opportunity for local groups to raise lunds for their own organisalions. We had 165 walkers with represent8tives from 8 private. 3 public & 12 3rd Sector oiganisakn.ons participating and over 30 volunteers. Inverclyde Chamber and local ￿sInesS owners participated in the STRIDE and provided goods and sep4ices to help the success of Ihe day. We saw great collaboration between the 3 sectors resuNiw in over £7K being ralsed for local charibes and social enterprises as well a5 funding for ICF. The sun shone and posib've feedback on partirypaling included ment81 heallh beneffts. healthy exercise and awareness raised of local 3rd sector organisab'ons plus the opportunity to admire the stunning Inverclyde coasdine. The Trustees policy is to retain sufficient funds year on year to enable Inverctyde Communty Fund to meel its charitable wrpose.
