APPENDIX 1 Achievements and performance Summary ol the main achi•v•m•nts of th• charlty during Ihe financial period During the 2020 reporting period SSAP clubs and their Covid officers drew up detailed risk assessments and worked in partnership with Clyde Muirsheil Regional Park {CMRPI to manage activity on the loch and ensure members safety. In response to an increasing number of new water users, especially open water swimmers. 5SAP asked CMRP if thev could help to protect members of the public by providin8 some safety notices advisin8 of the water circulation pattern and potential dangers from fast moving boats. In March 2021 SSAP approved a request to buylrent an area of the lochshore field from West Coast Paddlers IWCPI kayakin8 club. After discussion about the ways to manage the sale to WCP SSAP members agreed to move from the current System of land ownership to one in which each club has an allocated area. SSAP clubs also a8reed that the SSAP charitable organisation was no longer servin8 Its intended purpose and should be dissolved. Public liability insurance was renewed for Loch5hore field. An area behind existing and planned club compounds was offered to a local group wishing to plant wildflowers in the field. All clubs are now on the water and are 8radually returnln8 to normal activity as the measures imposed by Scottish Government become less restrictive.
