Principal actlvltles 21st Century Families Is a registered charity working with schools and communities to promote happy, healthy and resilient children. The charity was registered on 14th November 2011 and commenced its artivities on l December 2011. Our Play award programme'21 Ways to Play Learn and Have Fun, from Primary l- Primary 3 has been very successful. Over 250 families from 6 schools across South Lanark5hire engaged with this initiative. Families participated in indoor and outdoor challenges requirin8 minimal or no equipment. Pupils were awarded for completing challenges and under each settlon of the booklet, Indoor Adventurer. Outdoor Explorer. Managing Myself and Family Fun. The skills progressed across the three age groups and family involvement was encoura8ed throughout. This year we also piloted an ASN award with I local school. Respertlve responslbllities of trustees and examlner The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts In accordance with the term5 of the Charitles and Trustee Investment Iscotlandl Act 2￿5 and the Charities Accounts Iscotlandl Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation Iollllal to Ic) of the 2006 Accounts Regulations doe5 not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section 44 Illlcl of the Acl and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Bas15 of Inde￿ndent examlnerfs statement My examination is carried out in accordance wlth Regulation 11 of the 2IX)6 Accounts Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view 8fven by the accounts.
