The charity was set up to support carers and families of young people over 16 and adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. This is achieved by organising meetings to share experiences for carers, workshops for carers, coffee mornings for carers, walking group for carers as well as periodic social events. The charity also holds one to one meetings with carers to provide information on any services or support available in the local community. Pasda prepares and sends a monthly e-newsletter,social media posts and website updates.
Objectives: The objects for which Pasda is established are for— (a) The advancement of the health and wellbeing of adults (16 years and over) with autism and their families. (b) The advancement of education of families, carers, public bodies among others and the general public. (c) The relief of those of need by reason of age, ill-health, disability financial hardship or other disadvantage.
