Report of the Trustees For the year ended 31 December 2025

The Trustees have pleasure in presenting their report and the financial statements for the charity for the year ended 31 December 2025. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

Objectives and aims

Our purpose as recorded in the constitution is to promote the Christian Faith and its values amongst the church members and the community at large throughout Scotland, relief of poverty, advancement of religion, advancement of citizenship or community development, provision of recreational facilities and promotion of religious or racial harmony.

This is achieved through holding weekly meetings and conducting programmers for alleviation of poverty, assisting the elderly, and ministering to the spiritual needs of all members of the church and society at large.

The trustees have considered the Charity guidance on public benefit, including the guidance 'public benefit: running a charity (PB2)'.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Jesus House Torry over for the year ended 31

December 2025.

1. MTP INITIATIVE/ STUDENT ORIENTATION:

-annual initiative organized by Jesus House Torry to welcome and support new students, recent arrivals to Aberdeen, and first-time visitors to the church. The event serves as both an orientation and a platform for engagement, offering valuable information and resources to help attendees settle in and thrive in their new environment.

Key topics covered include Academic Excellence, Time Management, Avoiding Plagiarism, CV Writing, Job Applications, Immigration and Visa Opportunities, Financial Literacy, Culture Shock, Cyberbullying Awareness, and Mental Health & Wellbeing, among others. In addition to these practical sessions, participants

2. TORRY COMMUNITY FUN DAY

On June 23, 2025, Jesus House Torry hosted a vibrant and family-friendly community outreach event that inflatables, food, and refreshments, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for all.

The event provided a unique opportunity for one-on-one evangelism and the sharing of the Word in an open and engaging setting. We are grateful to report that seven individuals made the decision to give their lives to Christ during the event.

Designed to cater to all age groups ~~a~~ dults, youths, teenagers, and children ~~t~~ he event offered meaningful engagement for every member of the family, reinforcing our commitment to building strong community connections through faith and fellowship.

3. TEENAGE SUMMER CAMP

The Amazing Teens Camp is an annual summer initiative for teenagers aged 13 ~~1~~ 8, established in 2016 and held consistently each year. Designed to bring together teenagers from across Aberdeen, the camp offers a dynamic environment for peer interaction, personal development, and the acquisition of essential soft and innovative skills necessary for future academic and professional success.

In addition to skill-building workshops and interactive sessions, the camp places a strong emphasis on spiritual growth. Participants are taught the Word of God and guided on how to apply biblical principles in their daily lives.

enthusiastic attendees. Over the years, Amazing Teens Camp has become a highly anticipated event, with many teenagers describing it as a transformative experience. The program continues to receive overwhelmingly positive feedback and has been marked by numerous life-changing testimonies.

4. REAL HEROES SUMMER CAMP

Heroes Summer Camp is an annual event dedicated to creating a fun, engaging, and spiritually enriching environment for children. Since its inception in 2011, the camp has been guided by a clear vision: to help life and become positive role models in their schools, families, and communities.

The 2025 children. The camp featured a dynamic schedule of activities designed to both educate and entertain. Highlights included daily teachings, creative workshops, movie sessions, a park visit, arts and crafts, shared meals, and a variety of interactive games.

The event was a resounding success, providing children with an unforgettable experience that blended faith, fun, learning, and friendship in a safe and nurturing environment.

5. BUS SHELTER CLEANING

At Jesus House Torry, we are committed not only to spiritual growth but also to community wellbeing. As part of our ongoing efforts to contribute positively to our environment, we proudly partner with Aberdeen City Council each summer to support local cleanliness initiatives.

One of our key contributions is the annual cleaning of bus shelters across the Torry community. This initiative, which has been warmly received by both the Council and local residents, reflects our dedication to civic responsibility and environmental stewardship.

On May 18, 2025, a team of 20 volunteers from Jesus House Torry took to the streets to clean a record 16 bus shelter ~~s t~~ he highest number since the inception of this project. The effort not only enhanced the appearance of the community but also reinforced our commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those around us.

6. TORRY CHILDREN CHRISTMAS FUN FAIR

At Jesus House Torry, we believe it is our sacred responsibility to nurture children with joy, love, and the tools they need to succeed in life. With this in mind, we hosted our annual Community Children's Christmas Party on December 7, 202 ~~5 a~~ festive and meaningful event that brought holiday cheer and spiritual enrichment to children across our community.

7. C H R I S T M A S C A R O L

The Christmas season is a time of love, joy, and reflection ~~a~~ period when Christians around the world come together to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In this spirit, Jesus House Torry hosted a heartfelt Community Christmas Carol & Banquet on December 15, 2025, bringing people together in celebration

The evening featured a rich program of carols, live music, drama, and inspirational moments that created a warm and joyful atmosphere. Attendees were treated to a festive banquet, fostering fellowship and a sense of belonging among individuals and families from all walks of life.

The event was deeply impactful, with many lives touched and hearts uplifted. The joyful expressions, shared worship, and positive feedback from attendees reflected the true essence of the season ~~l~~ ove, unity, and the hope we have in Christ.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

Jesus House Torry (JHT) received voluntary income of £162,961.07 (2024: £ 163,693.85) during the year and other income of £114,368.71 (2024: £87,704.85). After expenses were paid the charity recorded a surplus of £124,689.03 (2024: £89,118.77).

Funds

Funds held by JHT are: Unrestricted General Funds that can be used in accordance with the charitable objects at the discretion of the trustees.

Restricted funds can only be used for particular restricted purposes.

Reserves Policy

It is the policy of JHT to maintain reserves at a level sufficient to meet planned expenditure requirements for the next year.

Reserves are continuing to accumulate and reflect the capital value of the assets held.

PLANS FOR FUTURE PERIODS

It is the intention of the trustees to continue to promote the Christian Faith and its values amongst church members and the community at large throughout Scotland.

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

Governing document

The Charity is controlled by its governing document, a constitution and is an unincorporated association.

Risk management

The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed, in particular those relating to the specific operational areas of the charity and its finances. The trustees have established systems to mitigate these risks through monitoring of reserve levels; ensuring control exists over key financial systems and by examining the operational and business risks faced by the charity.

The day-to-day operations of Jesus House Torry are overseen by Pastor Dapo Olanrewaju, with various teams in place to manage specific areas.

Recruitment and appointment of trustees

Trustees are selected from Christians of any denomination and are appointed by the agreement of existing trustees. Induction and training of new trustees

The Trustees have confidence in the experience and ability of the trustees to administer the activities of the charity. Induction and training will be considered on an ongoing basis, particularly in the event of a new trustee being appointed.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2025.

Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 (' the 2005 Act’) and the Charities and Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). You are satisfied that your charity is not required by charity law to be audited and have chosen instead to have an independent examination.

I report in respect of my examination of the Charity’s accounts as carried out under section 44 ( 1)(c) of the 2005 Act. In carrying out my examination I have followed the requirements of Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).

Independent examiners statement - matter of concern identified

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: accounting records were not kept in respect of the Charity as required by section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended); or the accounts do not accord with those records; or the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of Regulation 8 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended) other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘“ true and fair view' which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Since the Charity's has prepared its accounts on an accruals basis and is also registered in Scotland, your examiner must be a member of a body listed in Regulation 11(2) of the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended). I confirm that I am qualified to undertake the examination by virtue of my membership of, which is one of the listed bodies.

1. Accounting Policies

Basis of accounting

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, except for investments which are included at market value and the revaluation of certain fixed assets and in accordance with the applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019)', Financial Reporting Standard 102 the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102), and the Charities Act 2011.

JESUS HOUSE TORRY ABERDEEN meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102. Assets and liabilities are initially recognized at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounting policy note(s).

Liabilities are recognized as resources expended when there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the Charity to the expenditure:

Tangible fixed assets

Tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land, are stated at cost or valuation less depreciation and any provision for impairment. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost or valuation of fixed assets, less their estimated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following basis:
