CHAIRMAN'S REPORT 2024 Whllst It has been slow, there has been a sleady increase in the use of the Hall as more and more people are becomlng aware of Its existence and its attrdctiveness for a wide vaNety of acts"vities. Art Classes have continued to great acclaim. with waiting Ilsts on occaslons. AS far as the Hall is Con￿rned these have raised over £1200 durlng the year. The Muslc Festival took pla￿ in June, preceded as usual by the Ruthven Young Musician Competition which highlighted the considerable ta￿ntS of six young musicians from Angus and Perth & Kinross. The Concerts brought us another £1200. We all enjoyed our regular Colla￿ratIon with the Isla Parishes Church in December with a Carols & Canapes servi￿, with mulled wine to help us along. Elsewhere in our diary there was a Wedding and several Private Parties, and these bookings are becoming increasingly popular. On the expenditure side there a￿ the inevitably increased costs of Insurance £2500, Electricity £1400 and Naintenance £1600. We canied out sorne improvements to the building and installed a new hot water system in the kitchen. We are still benefftting from the help of a friendly Charitsble Trust but dependence on grants should hopefully dedine in future and bookings for ￿xt year are on the up. We are looklng forward to 2025 v4ith 9)me optimisrn.
