CHAIRMAN'S REPORT 2024 Whllst It has been slow, there has been a sleady increase in the use of the Hall as more and more people are becomlng aware of Its existence and its attrdctiveness for a wide vaNety of acts"vities. Art Classes have continued to great acclaim. with waiting Ilsts on occaslons. AS far as the Hall is Conrned these have raised over £1200 durlng the year. The Muslc Festival took pla in June, preceded as usual by the Ruthven Young Musician Competition which highlighted the considerable tantS of six young musicians from Angus and Perth & Kinross. The Concerts brought us another £1200. We all enjoyed our regular CollaratIon with the Isla Parishes Church in December with a Carols & Canapes servi, with mulled wine to help us along. Elsewhere in our diary there was a Wedding and several Private Parties, and these bookings are becoming increasingly popular. On the expenditure side there a the inevitably increased costs of Insurance £2500, Electricity £1400 and Naintenance £1600. We canied out sorne improvements to the building and installed a new hot water system in the kitchen. We are still benefftting from the help of a friendly Charitsble Trust but dependence on grants should hopefully dedine in future and bookings for xt year are on the up. We are looklng forward to 2025 v4ith 9)me optimisrn.
