Activities

'the advancement of education','the advancement of health','the advancement of citizenship or community development','the advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science','the advancement of public participation in sport','the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended','the advancement of environmental protection or improvement'
The Charity was set up to promote, manage and develop activities and projects for the benefit and development of the community of North Queensferry. It does this, firstly, by taking on projects which are directly managed by the Trustees, such as running North Queensferry Harbour and, secondly, by acting as an umbrella group for groups of residents who want to work on a particular project without having to set up as a stand-alone organisation with its own bank account. Any such sub-committee has to have at least one Trustee who reports back to the Trust as a whole at each meeting. There is currently a sub-committee working on a Community Buy-Out of the local pub and another looking at green issues and community energy.
Beneficiaries: 'Other charities or voluntary bodies'
