**What the charity does:** Talk Now is a trauma-informed counselling service for survivors of abuse. We are dedicated to supporting survivors to live their lives to the full by eliminating the debilitating, devastating effects of abuse and improving wellbeing and resilience. We are based in East Kilbride with one main office and separate counselling rooms. Survivors of abuse can access our service via self-referral through our website or by referral from another service. Within two working days of the referral, our office manager will contact the client and arrange their assessment by telephone. We aim to conduct evaluations within a month. After the assessment, the client will be placed on our waiting list for counselling, which can take up to 6 months. In the meantime, we offer our psychoeducation group. We have a male and female-only group which runs fortnightly. We have qualified counsellors who specialise in complex trauma, facilitating the groups.
