Throughout the year the Troop has continued with badge work and indoor and out door activities. Different sections of
the troop have had varying different awareness nights, including disability with the guide dogs. The cubs also had fund
raising activities and raised £500 towards sponsoring a guide dog puppy.
----- End of picture text -----

Christmas fayre, organised by one of the Beaver leaders was a great success raising over £1000 for the funds. The continued upgrading of the Scout Hall is still under way, helped greatly by a kind gift left to 1st Carluke by one of our old Scouts in his will. Thanks to already having received £75,000 the upgrading of the hall is gathering pace. With dates already set a complete refurb of all our original wooden floors, new facial and guttering around the whole building, a large new storage shed for out the back, new security cameras to deter the youngsters that have been using the back of the hall and one complete wall will be covered in a bespoke designed climbing wall for the whole group. The last of the money has been put aside to help finish the groups campsite in Kilnkadzow, involving the clearing of the site after the storms, a new large shipping container, with brick build extension for easier use of the site. It is also being investigated as to how water can be piped onto site.

Activities & Achievements

Reserves Policy The Trustees believe that around 12 months of basic annual expenditure is an appropriate level of reserves in order to cover the timing difference between receipts and payments and to allow for any major unexpected items of expenditure.
