Objectives: The charitable objects for which Scottish Humanists is established are. a) To promote the principles and practice of secular Humanism. defined as the moral, intellectual and social development of individuals and the community, free from theistic, religious and dogmatic beliefs and doctrines and as further defined in the International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU) Declaration of the World Humanist Congress of 2002 (included at Annex 1 to constitution).b) To encourage and promote science based educationc) The relief of those in need by reason of bereavement, old age, or other disadvantage d) Advancement of the Arts in accordance with the principles of secular Humanism e) And in furtherance of these objects: 1) To provide non religious celebrants 2) To do good works within the community (including operation of grief support Groups) . 3) To provide any similar secular Humanist services that members agree from time to time.
