Structure, governance and management Charitable Status The Church of Christ Peterhead has been registered as a charity from the 1* of February 2011. On this date the funds held within the existing association were donated to the charity. Governing Document The Church of Christ Peterhead is an independent congregation of Christians with no organisational attachments to any religious/faith body, although it follows the general pattern of Churches of Christ found throughout the world. The Church regards the Bible specifically the New Testament as our sole and complete authority.
Trustee Recruitment & Appointment Currently the Church has six trustees appointed to oversee the wellbeing of the church. No additional trustees have been appointed this year.
Objectives & activities Charitable Purposes To promote religious harmony within the community, assist those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.
summary Of The Main Activities Over the past year we have continued our Sunday Worship services, including bible study classes throughout the week. The church has started a warm hub to promote fellowship with the local community and a chance to have a warm refreshment. We continue to utilise the Zoom platform for those members who are elderly or ill to partake in Sunday morning service to promote spiritual growth and support to the membership.

Achievements and performance The Church membership remained consistent throughout the year with many fellowship activities held. The Sunday School has increase in number for the younger children within the congregation.
Financial Review Our main source of funding is the Sunday Morning Worship service where members have the opportunity to give financial assistance to the continuance of the work of the Church. Receipts for the year ended 31 December 2025 were £18,285 and payments were £15,/0/ giving an surplus for the year of £2,578. At the end of the financial period the charity held total unrestricted reserves of £31,202, of which £26 234 have been designated to cover the ongoing costs of the building and a balance of £1 held in relation to youth work. The trustees consider that sufficient funds are held in order to continue its activities as present.

The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 (“the 2005 Act’) and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended)(“the 2006 Regulations’). The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulations 10(1)(d) of the 2006 Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section (44)(1)(c) of the 2005 Act and to state whether particular matters have come

Basis of independent examiner’s statement
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, | do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.

Independent Examiner’s Statement In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:1. which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements:-

- to keep accounting records in accordance with section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Regulations, and

- to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Regulations have not been met, or

Notes to the Accounts

Basis of accounting These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities & Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).

Nature and purpose of funds Unrestricted funds are those that may be used at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the objects of the charity. Designated funds are sums which have been set aside by the trustees in order to meet future expenses. In particular the trustees have allocated funds to cover the ongoing maintenance costs of the building and also to cover costs incurred in the church’s youth work activities.

Related party transactions During the year Michael Gaunt, a trustee, received an evangelist salary of £7,140. These payments were made by the charity for his work done within the church as evangelist and not for his services as a trustee.
No expenses were paid to the trustees during the year.
