SC381507 ort of the Trustees or the Year Ended 31 December 2025 ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE Charitable activities Here are the activities of ELKCAL and the hall for 2025 The season began with an Open Jam Music Session in April which was a hLKJe success. ELKGAL'S summer events kicked off with the Elphin Midsummer Country Fayre in June which was a great day with lots of activities lo get everyone going. The activities were entertaining lo the locals, visit￿$ and participants alike The Craft and Food Markets started up again in April on a W￿klY basis and mosl weeks had a full ptake of tables. All in all, it was a good year for the stall holders and as such extended well into October again. The craft group made good use of the hall through out the year. We had a day of general maintenance wtlh painting and other small ￿pairS. Work has been done on installing new healing panels for the main hall. Looking ahead to more major improvements and iepairs we still need better heating, and the roof Continu￿ to have minor leaks and general damp. Having renamed Chicken Day to Elphin Crofty Day. we had great weather for the day and a strong allendance. The activities for both the children and adults were well received. and we were well supported by crofts bringing Iheir nimals to show on the day. Little did Ke all know that the hay bale used in one of the competitions would provide grezt entertainment for the kids and a respite for their parents and carers_ Whilst the digital projector was not used in Ihe year. plans were made for regular film nights and dates agreed for early next year. A card evening was organized in November which proved a hit for those attending and more have been planned for the new year. The Christmas quiz was held in eady December, the second of its kind and has now been adopted as a replacement to the formal sil-down meal. We made further progress in our efforts to purthase the hal" and grounds under the Community Asset Transfer. This year the boundaries weie surveyed and formalised by the counul and will be shortly discussed with the new estate owners. This will hopefully gain all round agreement and Can move the purchase on to the next stage. Agreement has already been reached with the Grazing Committee. As you all know we lost Ann this year. as well as a big loss to all her friends and neighbours, all members of ELKCAL and the hall will certainly miss Ann as a friend and as a valued mernber of the committee. Ann has been the secretary for a number of years, and our move to gaining ownership of the village hall is thanks. in a large part, by the knreless wod( by Ann in securiry granls and organising events. With Ann's ongoing legacy oftransferring the hall from the ￿Igh18nd Council to the communty, we are looking to the future and drafting a 10-year plan of improvements to and running of the hall of the benefit of the whole community.
