va¢clnatlon b005ters and on8olng cart through our I to I meetln85 and Adoptee Care Pack an
ongolng adoptee support whl¢h we offer by phone, moblle. em411, and Facebook,
We wlll always have Insufficlent houslng spaces avallable for cats and as we Ilm to prlorltlse cases
for injured strays and those cais desperate need ol veterSnary care and It Is a constant lug81Sng
ad to mana8e space to ensure maxlmum efflciency, We supported direct reh¢mlng but had much

Educatlon rem¥lns a keyfocus for Sunny Harbour Cat Rescue and as a result we have contlnued to
update our Cat Care Pack for new owners that covers a wSde ran8e ol toplcs Irom ba51c5 5u¢h as
feedlng •nd KroomlnB to vaccinatlons and piraslte control and feedln8.
We have contlnued to use our Fa¢eb¢ok communlty of supporter5 and adopters to update
adopters and 8eneral publ1£ on Sunny Harbour actlvltles but also to lotus on topScs of Interest to
cat owners by way of a f•ctual sectlon whlch we hope wlll help re-eThlgr¢e good heèlth and welfare
practl¢e5 for ca15. Our webslte contlnuts to be a point of focus and ha5 adapted In Ilne wlth our
4Ctlvltles throuihout the year ind new Content Wa5 well recelved.
It Is a contlr*uous lob to keep up wlth the routlne and much needed renovatlons to the cat housln8
at Sunny Harbour Ca¢ flescue. Through general wear and tear a lot ol the pens betome very worn
and tlred lookln8 wlth broken catches and heavlly scratched I dama8ed door5 and so we have to
repalr and lix throughovt the year constantly.
All cats le•vln8 Sunny Hirbour Cat Rescue conllnue to be neutered If over 4 10 S months old In Ilne
wlth our veterlnary advlce. All cats are health checked by our vet5 and vacclnated and all are
mlcro¢hlpped and Insured.
The Cat Care Qntre sadly never 5urvlved Covld and desplte our best efforts people dld not return
to pre Covld shoppln8 habSts resultln8 In Its closure thls year.
We Contlnue to try new approaches to recrultln8 new volunteers for dSfferent roles and working on
our varlous f￿ndraIsIng opportunltie5.
We complSed wlth new le81sl•tlon regulrln8 us to apply lor Local Aulhorlty Ll¢en5ing whlch place5
further flnanclal burden on the rescue. We were the flrst cat rescue In Flle lo achieve licensin4.

Fundraising
Our core income this year has come from direct fundraising, regular giving and our community of
followers through online appeals as well as organlsed public events and one of otsr amazlng
supporters who contlnues to run car boot sales forthe rescue on a règular basls.
Throughout 2023 Sunny Harbour have contlnued our efforts to sources fundralslng Income. To
date this includes:
Donations fr¢)m our webslte via Charlties Aid Foundation and throu8h Facebook.
Dlrett Debit & Standin8 Order donations to the charlties bank account from supporters.
Commi5slon based payments from the PetPlan Insurance Scheme, Easy Fundralsln& Give
As Your knve and Reey¢lin8 schemes such as Recyle4Charity.
Web based shop to extend avaSlabillty of fundraising Sales to cover a wldef audience.
Sunny Harbour Cat Rescues own PTlnted Calendar.
Utlllslng the Cash for Clothès Schemes for donated goods.
Makin8 and 5ellln8 OUT own hand crafted 8oods and merchandise.

We will continue to exp•nd ourfo¢us on e(lu(atlon of ut owners throu8h our Cat Care Pack and
factshÈÈts on key areas of cat care such as vacclnatlons, netsterlng and nvtrttlon. We ￿14 continue
to raise awareness of our volunteer Program and our rehomlng serylces.
We wlll utili5e our Sc￿31 MEdia co￿U￿rtieS to en8age the public, spreadini awareness and
hèlping us to promote edu¢atlon on key tat weware and care t￿¢$ as well as fundraisin8 to hélp
with high vet fees through specrfic appeals.
We wfll aim to continue our tornmunity events to roise awareness not only of Sunny Hafbour Cat
Re50Je and our services. but of the general care needs of cats. Many events result in member5 of
the wblic seekin8 staff out to ask specific questions about their cat and kitten and in such
circumstances. we art best placed to offer athio on carè. erooming and behavigur and we will
coniinue to do so throughout the year.
We will contlnue to do our utmtsst to ensure that all those who do •rrive at Sunny Harbour Cat
Rescue receive timdy and appropriate tart to return them to health prior to inclusion in the
adoptlon prwam. We VMII continue to malnt•in our NO KILL policy.
