Report for the year ended 31st March 2025 Governing document The Association is a charitable unincorporated association, and the purposes and administration arrangements are set out in our constitution. Charitable purposes Our purposes, as recorded as our aim in our constitution. are to help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, and through self-control, reverence. and a sense of responsibly, to find a true enrichment of life. Activities and achievements Our Annual Returns at January 2025 totalled 301 which is 6 up on last year Term of Office Divisional Chaplain- we are delighted Rev Andy Ellison has agreed to stay on as our Divisional Chaplain for another year. Division Due to the closure of St Mary's Church, the 21sI Aberdeen and 31st Aberdeen had to find new churches to be affiliated to. 2151 Aberdeen is now affiliated to Crown Terrace Methodist Church and 315t Aberdeen to St Columba's Church. Our Training DaylDedication SeNice this session took place on Saturday 24th August 2024 at st Columba's Church, Bridge of Don and was well attended. Thanks go to the 3151 company for looking after us on the day and to Rev Andy Ellinson for leading us in our dedication service. We took part in the Celebrate Aberdeen Parade which took place on Saturday 31st August 2024. We had 7 of our 9 companies and all the girls and leaders seemed to enjoy themselves in the sunshine. Our Divisional Display was held at the Beach Ballroom on Sunday 91h March 2025. It was great to see all the girls, officers and famiSy and friends fill the Beach Ballroom. We had 4 Divisional items and 5 competition winner items and one company item. It was great to see all the girls at the end on the *loor taking part in the finale item. We had Rev Shauna Dicks, Moderator of Presbytery of North East and Northern Isles of Church of Scotland as our visiting guest. Explorer fun afternoon was held on Saturday 10th May 2025 at st Columba's Church, Bridge of Don. There were 48 girls attended on a lovely sunny day all girls enjoyed taking part in the circus themed day with face painting, tattoos. decorating biscuits, making bracelets and playing games. Since last session Aberdeen Division Girls Brigade has been represented at the Scout Gang Show, the Remembrance Service and the VE day beacon lighting. Aimee MacLean, 3rd Aberdeen has been selected to attend the international camp in Wisconsin. Leadershi Trainin We have had no Officers commissioned this session. We have had 3 trainees who have completed their GBS Leadership Induction Training and 5 trainees who have completed their Gold award. DofE 3 Bronze awards and 2 Silver awards have been gained this year. Queens Award Amy Chapman, 151 Newtonhill has gained her Queens Award

Bad Badges gained this session- Explorers- 8 x Bronze stars, 28 x Silver stars, 24 x Gold stars Juniors- 41 x1$t Circles. 33 x2nd Circles, 19 x 181 Diamonds, 8 x 2nd Diamonds Brigaders- 8 x Red triangles, 9 x White triangles. 5 x Blue triangles, 7 x Gold triangles & 6 Brigader Brooches. Com etitions We had few turn up and do competitions this year- Our competitions were all held on the same day on Saturday 51h October and the results were as follows: Explorers.. Crafts - 28 girls over 8 companies entered 151 3151 Aberdeen, 2nd _ 1¥1 Skene, 3rd _ 21st 23rd & 42nd Aberdeen Juniors: GB Knowledge & Bible Quiz- 51 girls from all 9 companies entered 71h Aberdeen, 2nd _ 3151 Aberdeen, 3rd _ 1 $1 Skene Brigader.. Taskmaster- 24 girls from over 7 companies entered. 1st 42nd Aberdeen, 2nd_ 3rd Aberdeen . 3rd _ 21 St Aberdeen We had a variety of competitions this year with the majority of them being held the first week of February 2025 which we held at various venues across the Division. Brigade Scottish Charity Number SC041806 Report by the Independent Examiner I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31st March 2025 which are set out on pages 6 and Respectlve responsibilities of trustees and examlner The charities trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10{1) (d) of the Accounts Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under Section 44{1) {c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's statement My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotland} Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts. Independent examinerfs statement In the course of my examination, no matters have come to my attention which give me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements.. to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 44{1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations, and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Accounts Regulations have not been met, or 2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
