Activitie$ and achievemen1$ Our Annual Returns at January 2024 tolalled 295 which is 34 down on last year Term of Office Mrs Carole Horne has completed 3 years as President and ha5 decided to slep down tonight Mrs Angela Ritchie has completed 6 years as Commissioner and will slep down tonight Miss Angela Wlson has completed 6 years as Deputy Commissioner and will slep down tonight. Mrs Margaret Cooper will be appointed tonight as President Mrs Karen Orchard will be appointed tonight a5 Commissioner Mrs Lynne Smith will be appointed tonight as Deputy Commissioner Miss Emily Scott will be appointed tonight as Deputy Commissioner Rachel Esson gave up as Training Co-ordinator this year and Miss Hayley Leys agreed to take on this role Mrs Fiona Cumming has completed her first 3 years as Vice President and 15 happy lo do a further 3 years, Miss Nicola McLean has completed her first 3 years as Deputy Commissioner and is happy lo do a further 3 years. Mrs Angela Ritchie ha$ agreed to take on the halls lel role Divisional Chaplain- we are delighted Rev Andy Ellison has agreed to stay on as our Divisional Chaplain for another year. Division Two companies have decided to close this session - 1 sl KIntO and 24th Aberdeen 1 st Aberdeen and 39th Aberdeen who merged last year wi51 now be known as the 42nd Aberdeen. We started off our session taking part in the Celebrate Aberdeen Parade whh took place on Saturday 26th August 2023. Vve had around 60 leaders and girts who sang and danced along Union Street with our mascot Bee. OUT Training DaylDedi¢alion Service this session took place on Saturday 26UI August 2023 at South Sl Nicholas Church. Kincorth and was well attended by 35 leaders and it was good lo see Some new trainees in attendance. Thanks go to the 23 company for looking after us on the day and to Rev Andy Ellinson for leading us in our dedication service. We had a trainee leader gel together and training session on Sunday 17th September 2023. 8 trainee leaders from 4 companies attended. They participated in teaching drill, physical activity, worship. plarsning and preparaty'on. planning an outing, 51orytelling & organising a craft session followed by pizza. We also held a Divisional publicity stand 81 Asda Dyce on Saturday 30th September 2023 beeen 10.00 am - 4.00pm. Thank you again to all the leaders who helped out on the day.
Aberdeen Dlvlsion Girls, Brigade Scothsh Charity Number SC041806 Trustees, Report forthe yoar ended 31st March 2024 Our Divisional Display was held at the Beach Ballroom on Sunday 24th February 2024. It was great lo see all the girls, officers and family and friends fill the Beach BallToom. We had 4 Divisional items and 6 competition winner items. 11 was great lo see all the girls al the end on the floor taking part in the finale item. We had Lauren Mitchell from Northsound Radio as our visiting guest. We had a 5ts11 al the Aberdeen Highland Games on Saturday 181h June 2023 which tumed out lo be a lovely sunny day where we handed out lots of promotional items. We had a Junior Divisional outing lo Camperdown Park on Saturday 24th April 2024. We had 84 girls and had a fantastic day with great weather. We visrted the zoo, played at the playpark then finished up with learn games at the end. We had invited 5 ladies lo become honorary this year and we are delighted to welcome them on board and it is great to see them here tonight along wilh our other honorary We welcome- Lesley Mowat Fiona Leslie Margaret Cooper Angela McKinnors Lesley Bills Since last session Aberéeen Division Girls Brigade has been represented al the Scout Gang Show, Guides Show and the Remembrance Service. Leadershi Trainin We have had 6 Officers commissioned this session. We have had 5 trainees who have completed their GBS Leadership Induction Training and 5 Irainees who have completed their Gold award. DofE 3 Bronze awards have been gained this year. Officer Service Awards Mrs Erin Dumo. Lieutenant of 7th Aberdeen, Miss Rachel Dawson, Lieutenant of 7th Aberdeen and 31st Aberdeen and Miss Hayley Leys, Lieutenant of 23rd Aberdeen gained their 10 yeaTS' Service Award, Mrs Lynne Smith, Lieutenant of 7th Aberdeen and Miss Angela Wilson. Lieutenant of 23rd Aberdeen gained their 30 years, Service Award and Mrs Karen Brown, Lieutenant of 1st Newtonhill and 39th Aberdeen gained her 40 years, service. Both ladies will be presented with their award's tonight al our AGM. Com etilion5 On a posltive note, we were delighted we were able to hold some divisional competitions this year and thanks musl go to Angela Ritchie who c(>ordinaled all the entrtes with the judges. The competitions were set for the week 7th March and companies had to video the gids on their company night and send in their videos.

Junior physical: 5 Teams 1st place- P Aberdeen, 2nd place- 3rd Aberdeen. 3rd place- 24th Aberdeen. 8rigader Physical: 6 teams 1*1 plaGe- 1st Newtonhill, 2nd place- Ph Aberdeen, 3rd place - 21st Aberdeen & 111 Kintore. Makaton.. 9 teams 1 place- 3ta Jun¢ors, 2nd place- 71h Juniors, 3td p18ce- 7th BrSgaders. We also held CJ Bruce Competib'on for Explorers- this was an Individual competition for any explorers who wished to lake part. They had to produce an A4 season themed collage either in their company or at home. We had $3 entries, and the judges had a very difficult decision in finding winners. In the end they settled on 3 winners. We also had a Christmas Photography Competition- 1 for Juniors and 1 for Brigaders. There were 7 entnes for each of these sections and the judge was highly impressed with the effort that went Into creating the photos. The Junior plaeings were Juniors.. 16t_ 7th Aberdeen. 2nd_ 31St Aberdeen. 3td_ 3rd Aberdeen and the Bngader placings were 161_ 7ih Aberdeen, Brigader 2nd _ Aberdeen, Brigader 3rd_ 1$1 Newtonhill.
