## **Constitution**
The charity is an unincorporated association registered on 31[st] August 2010.
## **Appointment of Trustees**
Membership of the WFWP will be open to all people, regardless of race, nationality, religion or educational background. Office bearers will be appointed at the AGM and serve for a period of three years. Any other persons may be co-opted to positions as determined by the Federation.
## **Management**
The Federation will meet not less than three times per year and all meetings will be open to the public. Decisions will be based on a simple majority vote of present members with the chairperson having the casting vote, if necessary.
## **Objectives & Activities**
## **Charitable purposes**
To advance education in respect of the family and in particular in matters relating to peace and non-violence. To promote mutual understanding among diverse religions, races and cultures.
To bring reconciliation, and relieve poverty and suffering locally and internationally. To advance community development and improve health.

## **Women’s Federation for World Peace - Scotland Annual General Meeting** - 21[st] April 2026
## **Chairperson’s Report**
The Women’s Federation for World Peace - Scotland is delighted to report on activities, events and developments during 2025.
## **New Year’s Celebration**
On 18th January, we started the year 2025 with friends at the Glasgow Peace Embassy to celebrate the new year and presented Deborah Carmichael, the Rotary Club's Environment Officer for the Southern Scotland region, with a Global Woman's Peace Ambassador Award.
## **Personal account working in the West Bank, Palestine**
On 12[th] July, Jean Byrne from the World Council of Churches Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel shared her experience in the West Bank. She was on the monitoring Program in 2023. It was very informative and impartial. Some participants reflected, ‘I heard lots about Gaza, but didn’t know what was happening in the West Bank. This is truly educational, and I appreciate that WFWP organized this event.’
## **First Aid Course**
On 28[th] August, the first aid course was organized to equip participants with essential life-saving skills and knowledge to respond effectively in emergencies—the training aimed to enhance confidence and competence in providing immediate care before professional medical help arrives. A staff member from St Andrew’s Ambulance Association introduced us to CPR and how to use the defibrillator. All participants appreciated the critical knowledge and the new life-saving skills they acquired.
## **Monthly Wellbeing meetings**
WFWP Scotland started the Monthly Wellbeing meeting from September at the Southside Community Centre, Edinburgh. We meet every month for a different activity to enhance women's wellbeing. It’s free, and it brings women in the community together, regardless of their background. September – Mindfulness Crochet, October – Mini Notepad craft, November – Reflexology and Reiki, December – Key rings with Paracord Knots
## **Fundraising events**
To ensure a stable fund, we went to a local car boot sale, held a Winter Craft Fair and participated in the Christmas Fair at East Craig Primary School. They were not only raising funds but also providing the opportunity to connect people.
## **Collaborating with other organisations**
As a part of our networking effort, we helped various like-minded organisations.
We supported the events for ‘Me, Myself & I’ by offering craft sessions in May and September. Also, we offered a try-on a Kimono and Origami workshop at the ‘Unity is Strength’ event, which was celebrating multicultural Scotland in May.
Our gratitude goes to the support, dedication and commitment of our members, friends, and volunteers, who helped make these events and activities possible.

## **Financial Review**
## **Book keeping**
The Management Committee is responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose, with reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that financial statements comply with Charity and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and The Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
## **Financial Information**
The financial statements are prepared in accordance with the Charity and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006, Statement of Recommended Practice Accounting by Charities, and the Trust Deed.
The Management Committee confirms that proper book keeping records are kept by the treasurer of the Women Federation for World Peace - Scotland (WFWP) organization in compliance with the organization’s policies and procedure.
**Tax -** The WFWP organization is not registered for VAT.
## **Plans for Future Periods**
WFWP Scotland is planning to continue with activities in line with our constitution. We continue to work together with other women’s and cultural groups and organize intercultural exchange event.

## **Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of Women’s Federation for World Peace - Scotland**
I report on the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2025, which are set out on pages 6 to 8
## **Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner**
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 (“the 2005 Act”) and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended) (“the 2006 Regulations”). The charity’s trustees consider that the audit requirement of Regulation 10(1) (d) of the 2006 Regulations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under section (44) (1) (c) of the 2005 Act and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

## **Basis of Independent Examiner’s Statement**
My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the 2006 Regulations. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeks explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and, consequently, I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
## **Independent Examiner’s Statement**
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
- **1** which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements:
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 44(1)(a) of the 2005 Act and Regulation 4 of the 2006 Regulations, and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with Regulation 9 of the 2006 Regulations have not been met, or
- **2** to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
