Our objectives are to manage community land and associated assets- provide recreational facilities- advance community development- advance community awareness of its environment, culture, heritage & history- advance environmental protection & improvement & carry out the forgoing in a sustainable manner.

Objectives: The Company has been formed for the public benefit of the Community of Uig as defined by the postcode units IV51 9UX, IV51 9UY, IV51 9UZ, IV51 9XA, IV51 9XL, IV51 9XP, IV51 9XR, IV51 9XS, TV51 9XT, IV51 9XU, IV51 9XW, IV51 9XX, IV51 9YA, IV51 9YB, IV51 9YD, IV51 9YE, IV51 9YF, IV51 9YG, IV51 9YQ, and IV51 9YL] (“the Community”), with the Purposes listed in the Sub-articles hereto (“the Purposes”), to be exercised following the principles of sustainable development (where sustainable development means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs). The Company’s main Purpose is consistent with furthering the achievement of sustainable development. The Company’s Purposes are: Article 4.1.1 To manage community land and associated assets for the benefit of the community and the public in general. Article 4.1.2 The advancement of community development (including the advancement of urban or rural regeneration) principally within the Community. Article 4.1.3 To provide or advance the accessibility of recreational facilities, and/or organising recreational activities, which will be available to members of the Community and public at large with the object of improving the conditions of life of the Community. Article 4.1.4 To advance educational opportunities in the Community relating to environment, culture, heritage and/or history. Article 4.1.5 To advance environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community and/or the preservation of buildings or sites of architectural, historic or other importance to the Community
