TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025 (CONTINUED) ACTIVITIES The highlight of our year was the light show held in the Winter Gardens again in November 2024. The reaction of the publlc to the event exceeded all expectation5 and the event will be held again in November 2025. Our open day was very well supported and we appreciated the continued financial support from Aberdeen Clty Council for this event. CHARITABLE PURPOSE The objectives of the charlty are: The provision of recreational facilities for the public benefit by actively promoting and supporting the use of Duthie Park in the City of Aberdeen with the aim of improving the conditions of life of the public. To promote the use of Duthie Park as a centre for environmental education, events, recreation and to preserve and protect the heritage and environmental amenity of the park and its precincts for the publlc benefit. FUTURE PLANS We plan to continue our support of projects and actwities in the Park. We will work closely with Aberdeen City Council and its employees in the promotion of the Park and we thank them for their support and encouragement which is much appreciated. FINANCIAL REVIEW Our Income for the year totalled £83.974. expenditure was £32,932, resulting in a surplus of £51,042. Funds held at the yezr ended amounted to £70,540. NOTES TO THE ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025 l. Basis of Accounting These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities and Trustee Investment {Scotlandl Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts IScotland} Regulations 2006 las amended). 2. Nature and purpose of funds Unrestricted funds are those that may be used at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of the objects of the charity. The charity also holds £1,000 for the maintenance of War Memorials and £630 for the maintenance of the defibrillator.

The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of regulation 10111 (al to (cl of the Accounts RegL¢lations does not apply. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts as required under sectlon 44{11{cl of the Art and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basls of Independent examlner's statement My examination is carried out in accordance with Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts (Scotlandl Regulations 2006. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations frorn the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
