It 55 8overned by Its constStutlon which was adopted in March 1989 (estimate) and last amended In Aprll 2022. CYMT was 8ranted charitable ststus by OSCR on 1° June 2010. Appolntment of Trustees The Commlttee, which nomially meets on a monthly basis from February/March to November, are the charities Trustees. Membership of the Committee Is open to all parents and guardians of the young people in the club. Trustees are elected at the Annual General Meetin8 which is normally held in March. Under the constitution the￿ must be a minlrnum of four elected Trustees (Committee- 2 parents and 2 other; quorum of 4 for meetings). Management The Trustees are responsible fr)r the strntegic direciion and 8overnance of CYMT. They will appoint a Director. Musical Dlrector and Choreographer each year, all of whom are paid an honorarium, who will be responsible for organising rehearsals and preparing for a musical theatre production to be performed In November. There are volunteers who tske roles individually or co-ordinating teams of people to assist In the perforniance of the show leg. wardrobe. props, sta8e manager, front of house). The Trustees are aware of their ￿spOnsibl11t1es for Health and Safety. especially for the young people. Young people are never left alone with anyone. and the committee discourage anyone from being alone with children. Graham Lumsden - re-appointed a5 Chairperson, Kelty Wilson appointed as Chairperson, Karen James-wilson appointed as Secretary and clai￿ Spittlehouse appointed as Treasurer. Allison Lurnsden will continue to tske the lead with the Wardrobe Team. Karen King will be our new Mlnute Secretary. Gail Imlach agreed to tske on the role of Fundraissrvd Co-ordinator. The role of Hair & Make Up was taken on by Kelty Wilson and Delia Manson. Kelly Wilson was allocated the role of being our Hea￿h & Safety and Child Protection Officer. She also took on the role of PVG Co-ordinator. She proos5ed the applications ensurin8 Production Team and Chaperones were processed as a priortty. Ka￿n Kin8 agreed to cO￿rdinate Chaperone Rotss for Rehearsals and Chaperones, Front of House Team etc for Show Week. Alex Mitcl*ll wa5 allocated as our First Aid Officer. Online Ticketing was set up again in June. Going LNe with ficket Sales in July. This ro￿ was taken on by Vlcky Lothian. Karen James Wilson took on the role of compiling our Show Programme. The Show Productlon Tearn and Crnw We welcomed back. Alison Graham our Choreographer, our New Muslcal DSrector Mardn Tollkk and makin8 a return to CYMT our Creative Direciorjude Vandecastee CYMT performed Disney's The Llttle Mermald. Due to the popularlty of our 2024 Show It was agreed by Committee and Production Team to contlnue wtth 4 performances this year. This to Include a Saturday Matinee. Working with the Produrtlon Tearn this year was Struan MacKenzie as Stsge Manager. asslsted by Claire McGarrle and fellow sta8ehands. An exclttn8 additton to our Production thls year was the use of a Vldeo Wall. This was provided by Artlstic Solutlons and excellentty co-ordinated by Cralg Spence. Rennie Ritchie returned to provide our lightin8. Accent Audlo provlded us wlth our sound and the set pleces, props were again provided by John Urquhart. Alistair More took cast photographs during the dress ￿hearSal and Illmed the l Nights Performance. Soundtracks were used this year. These were provided by the Llcence Holders ITRWI A special thanks must go to the Produrtion Team and the crew for their hard work and dedication to the group for puthn8 on this outstsndin8 Show. We were very suc￿Ssful in sharing infomiation on our Social Media Platforms re Recruitment for our Auditron Workshops in late February. Followlng on from these Workshops- The Production Team We￿ so impressed with the Talent that they were all invited to join the Cast. The cast worked extremely hard and guided by the expertise of existing cast members and the Production Team they put on an outstsnding show. We attended several local events where leaflets were handed out while we were fundraI￿n8. Cast members were given flyers to distribute locally and again we used our Facebook Page for show promotlon. The ￿CketIng online again this year, and ￿ V￿re able to open the Box Office in July. Hnanclal Dedslon$ Due to the cost￿f-11vIng crisi5. and trying to keep a trip to the Theatre affordable for familles, the Committee decided to keep the membership fees and ticket pri￿$ unchanged again this year. The group does not see the membership fees as the primary Method of funding the group and aims to be as inclusive as possible. There are contributions from cast members and their families, not only flnanclal, but in the time aNI effort thty put into makln8 the group. the fundra￿Ing and every perfomlance a success. There are also a number of local volunteers, who contrlbute so rnuch of thelr tSme and expertise to the success of our shows, Rennie Ritchie who gives up a huge omount of his tSme re the Lightlng and Our Video Wall Co-ordinator. Crai8 SperKe who spent hours sourcin8 Ima8es to use on the Wall and organlsln8 the hirin8, delNery etc. We a￿ continulng to use Cupar Com Exchange for ￿hearsalS and show venue. Thls has been booked for next year's rehearsals arKI show. FUndrnlsl￿lPr0motloTh We were invited to take part in Cupar's Children's Gala (June) Graham Lumsden or8anised a Tombola Stall whlch was run by Grnham and a small Team ofcast and Parents. Grdham Lumsden or8anised CYMT'S 2 Fundrdising Silent Dlsco. This Event was very successful and well attended and enjoyed by our cast and theirfriends and families. We held another Coffee Momlng in Cupar Corn Exchange in September along wlth having a stall at the Cupar Market. These Events were organised by The Ex-committee and V￿re very Successful. We were also invited to promote our show in Tesco in Cupar. This involved Committee member5/cast handing out show flyers, selling tickets and fund raisir*. We were invited to Tesco in Cupar again In December to do some Carol sinElng to Trise funds. Thanks to our Vice Chairperson, Kelly Wilson were very lucky to be allocated a slot with The Rotary santa Sleigh's Fundraising Team. This involved Cast and Parents working alongside the Rotary with their door-to-door collections. Thls was a very successful and enjoyable evening. A special thanks must 80 to Gail Imlach and her daughter Ashleigh Redpath for sourcing Prizes from Local Busine55's for our Raffle during the V￿ek of the Show. This was a huge succe5S. We also donated Complimentary rickets for our Show to our8ood friends at Age Concern. The Commlttee There were mary new faces WI￿ ioined the Commiitee this year. This due to the evolving cast. new member5 joining the group etc. It can be quite dauntin8 for new parents to get involved. Summary The Production Team and cast have worked tirelessF¥ to put on amthervery successful show. The Little Mermaid has had 4 very successfvl performances including a full House for our Matiree. There were fantastic reviews from audiences. An incredible achievement by all. We a￿ now looking forward to our next Production. As a charity. CYMT should hold reser¥es to help the group to budget for unforeseen emergencles. unexpected bllls or other short-term c05ts. but not hold money unnecessarily.
