Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of During the reporting period 2024-2025, the charity was involved
the charity during the financial period
supporting the development of NHS staff by sending them on training
i Opportunities and conferences in Glasgow and in Manchester.
The Charity has also supported a research project in the NHS and
donated £43,062.91. The grant will provide assistance to an NHS clinical
trial and other research audits that have been run locally.
The Charity supported the purchase of research software to support the
department in the generation of data for publications.
The Department also run a fundraising event with an aim to generate
additional income for the charity and support further staff development
events. However, the fundraising event expenditure was more than the
income that was generated. The charity trustees will decide whether
events like this will be run in fvture and if so they will opt for a different
I model to prevent further loss of funds.
Financial review
Brief statement of the charity's policy
on reserves
The charity currently has reserves in a long term investment portfolio
which will be used to support the aims and objectives of the Charity in the
short term while creating future income to continue to meets the charity's
aims in the future. In the previous reporting year the Charity invested
£232,161.23 in an investment portfolio which is now estimated to be
valued at £192,232.25 following the withdrawal of £50,000 to cover
research costs.
