The SPFL Trust’s mission is: Through the power of football, we will make a difference by empowering our clubs and community trusts to create opportunities at the heart of their communities that bring people together and change lives for the better. The objectives of the Trust are: · To use the power of football for the advancement of citizenship and community development. · To use the power of football for the advancement of public participation in sport. · To use the power of football to provide, or assist in the provision of, recreational facilities and activities that improve the quality of life, health, wellbeing and opportunities of the people and communities they serve. In pursuit of these objectives, the Scottish Professional Football League Trust (SPFL Trust) works in close partnership with the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL), the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL), ATCs, funders, public bodies and a wide range of community partners across Scotland.

Objectives: The Company shall operate for the advancement for the public benefit of the following charitable purposes or objects : 3.1 the advancement of public participation in sport and, in particular, the promotion of participation by members of the public in healthy sporting activities , including, but not limited to, football. 3.2 the advancement of citizenship or community development and, in particular the provision of support for community-based facilities and activities undertaken by football clubs. 3.3 the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. and 3.4 the advancement of any of the above purposes or objects by the giving of grants or the provision of funding to persons undertaking projects, initiatives and/or activities which further any of the above objects and are wholly charitable within the meaning of the Taxes Acts and also section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 or any statutory amendment or re-enactment thereof..
