Elgin City Band IECBI was established lo bring together players and opportunities to enjoy brass band
music in a community. ECB enjoyed a year of friendship, community engagements and musi¢al
development.
2025 was another suc￿ssful year for Elgin City Band.
With the purpose of offering community musicians the chance lo play brass band music and enjoy the
emotional support of fellow musicians and families. we enjoyed several playing opportunities.
It was great to be part of the Speyside Whisky festiv81 with an inaugural event al Dallas Dhu distillery. A friendly and
lively afternoon this was a great warm up for our spring concert at Laichmoray. A favourile venue for another successful
event
A return to Lossiemoulh for the Oktoberfest with our guest conductor Helen, was a resounding success. We wished
these personnel well on their work travels.
Sl Giles being the venue for a successful Christmas concert in partnership with Elgin Academy orchestra, choir and jazz
bandl This growing partnership provides the opportunity for the blend of youth and experience lo come logethel nicely.
The reciprocal opportunity for Elgin City lo join the school concert to further secure this friendship saw the departure of a
performer. We wished him well in his career path.
Rounding off the year once again opportunities to support the Elgin ¢ommunity with a mix of tradiltonal Christmas carols
at local Tesco and other local venues.
This again was a profitable collection point but more notably the impact of music on the emotions connected with the
Christmas period. For both the listeners but also the musical performers.
A wam welcome lo our newest members lo the band with Alex, Nathaniel and Orlailh. It's great having young members
part of our membership again.
Thanks you to all the performers of Elgin City Band.
