Barrowland Ballet is dedicated to creating exceptional dance theatre, films, and community programmes that ignite connections, foster resilience, and inspire communities, participants, audiences, and artists in Glasgow, Scotland, and worldwide. Our mission is to elevate the standard for high-quality contemporary dance theatre in Scotland. We produce emotionally authentic work that resonates and engages deeply with audiences. We are committed to increasing the profile of both professional and participatory dance films and theatre work, while providing engagement opportunities for people of different ages and backgrounds, particularly focusing on underrepresented groups. children with complex needs, older dancers and communities of South Asian diaspora. Additionally, we contribute to the development of the dance ecology through professional classes, industry mentoring and audience development programmes.
