RCCG Fountain of Love - Glasgow Report of the Trustees For the year ended 31 December 2024
The Trustees have pleasure in presenting their report and the financial statements for the charity for the year ended 31 December 2024. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and aims
Our purpose, as recorded in the constitution, is to promote the Christian Faith and its values amongst the church members and the community at large, throughout Scotland. This is achieved by ministering to the spiritual needs of all members of the church and the society at large through our weekly meetings and conducting programs to empower individuals for poverty reduction and prevention, as well as assisting the elderly. The trustees have considered the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit, including the guidance 'public benefit: running a charity (PB2)'.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE
REVIEW AND HIGHLIGHT OF ACTIVITIES
In 2024, the charity gained momentum in community-based activities and various events such as the Family Fun Day, Youth and Teenagers Sunday, Children’s Day, alongside special Easter and Christmas celebrations. It was uplifting to see our members increasingly engaging in face-to-face activities. Our Sunday services continue to be fully in-person, as more members value the lively atmosphere of fellowship and camaraderie when we gather. Our young members also found more opportunities to express themselves through a variety of activities and events.
However, some activities, such as the Monday prayer meetings and Wednesday Bible Study, still take place online, and we have adopted a more practical hybrid model for specific activities, especially subgroup meetings. We also continued with our outreach visits to the Almond View Care Home once a month, and we are encouraged by testimonials from residents and their families who look forward to these visits.
We have continued to seize every opportunity to encourage charity members to take good care of themselves, while sustaining our spiritual activities and outreach to the community through prayers for those in need and visits where possible.
We continued the ‘Integration Awareness’ sessions for everyone new to the country, as new members joined us from time to time. Based on the testimonials we keep receiving, we can see the great value and impact of this initiative for our new members. It offered them support during their settling-in phase and provided information on how to integrate into Scottish society, including topics like the banking system, education system, parenting, and the tax system. The sessions were well received, and participants confirmed the considerable benefits they gained from each session.
Our ‘Helping Hands’ project, organised by the Welfare team, continued to flourish, supporting vulnerable families in our community through assistance with utility bills, provision of food parcels, various counselling sessions, and visitations.
We were able to organise joint programmes in collaboration with other charities and parishes of the Redeemed Christian Church of God within the Glasgow Region, which fostered unity and a sense of belonging among members.

Spiritual Impact and Testimonies
Throughout the year, the charity witnessed significant spiritual growth among members, including testimonies of healing, restored relationships, and deepened faith. These stories reflect the transformative power of the charity’s mission and the grace of God at work in the community.
Volunteer Engagement and Development
The charity continues to thrive through the dedication of its volunteers. Training sessions were held to equip them for roles in pastoral care, media, hospitality, and youth ministry. Their commitment has been instrumental in sustaining weekly operations and outreach efforts.
Partnerships and Community Presence
The charity strengthened ties with local organisations, participating in interfaith dialogues, food distribution networks, and community wellbeing initiatives. These partnerships have enhanced visibility and broadened the charity’s impact across Glasgow and surrounding areas.
Innovation in Ministry Delivery
In response to changing needs, the charity expanded its digital ministry through livestreams, online counselling, and hybrid events. These innovations have enabled wider reach and deeper engagement, especially among young adults and remote members.
Finally, we will continue to seek more ways to identify more opportunities and innovative ways to carry out charitable activities that will significantly benefit the community. We are in talks with established social enterprise groups, particularly within the ethnic minority demography, that have expressed interest in organising workshops and seminars. These will teach our members entrepreneurship skills and inform them about the support available for those who want to start their own business or social enterprise.
No matter the challenges that may arise as we enter this new year, our determination remains to be more committed and diligent in pursuing the fulfilment of our mission and vision. We shall not waver in our prayers as we strive to see many more positive changes in our immediate community and in the lives of the people we serve.
