Since Aboyne Highland Games were formed in 1867, its key objective is keeping alive the culture of traditional Highland Games and making them relevant to the audiences of today. The Games is an annual event held on Aboyne Village Green and attract an average of over eight thousand spectators from all over the globe.

Objectives: The Company's objects shall be: To advance the heritage and culture of Scotland by staging, managing, operating and promoting the annual Aboyne Highland Games, in association with the local statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants of Aboyne and its environs. and To advance public participation in sport through the organisation of professional events and non professional events open to all comers. and To provide recreational facilities or assist in the organisation of recreational facilities for the benefit of the general public, without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions. and To carry out any other Charitable Purpose or objective which can be advantageously or conveniently carried on by the Company by way of an extension of or an association with the objects stated in Clause 3(i) hereof or which may be calculated directly or indirectly to advance the objectives stated in this clause 3 (i).
