This work is to protect and enhance wild salmon populations with projects that will improve habitats, promote a sense of ownership, and thereby increase the health of wild salmon stocks. This in turn will generate the following benefits. more angling tourism resulting in boosts to the local economy and related employment, a healthy ecosystem. of which salmon are a key element of the food chain for animals such as otters, seals, heron, and birds of prey.  Often whilst working on these projects, there is an emphasis on community engagement and volunteer involvement.
