Summary of the main achievements
of the charity during the financial
period
We have continued as a key partner in the Scottish Govemment Initiative "Save a
Lrfe For Scotland" developing strategies to improve survival from Out-of-Hospilal
Cardiac Arrest anij resources to support those involved. The GoodSAM initiative
shows huge potential for the future and is a programme we are delighted lo be
involved with.
Our Communty Flrst Ald awareness tralnlng has been dellvered to commun
groups Including prlmary and secondary schools and we have actlvely targeted
groups and individuals with a disability. We have tralned 1,873 people this year
We have delivered accessible accredited First Aid training to groups and
individuals including job seekers. those with mentsl health and addiction problems.
Réspondèrs attendèd 238 emergèncy 999 calls wlth our Scottlsh Ambulance
S8rvlco CFR partnètshlp work In the year to 3191 March.
We have also contlnued our work to consolldate and develop the Flfe Councll
Mobile Emergency Care Service Partnership within the East Neuk. The MECS
team attended 176 calls durlng the year
Posl COVID we have engaged wlth and supported the communlty wlth Medlcal
Evenl Cover at slgnlflcantly more events and actlvltles.

The charity's trustees are responsible for the FYeparatK)n of the accounts in accordance with the
temis of the Chanties and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charrties Accounts
(Scotland) Regulations 2006. The charity trustees consider that the audit requirement of
Regulation 10(1)(d) of the Accounts Regulats'ons does not apply. 11 is my responsibility to exarnine
the accounts as required under section 44(1)(c) of the Act and to state whether particular matters
have come to my attentDn.
Basis of Independent examinees statement
My exarnination is carried out in accordance wrth Regulation 11 of the Charities Accounts
(Scotland) Regulations 2006. An examination indudes a review of the 8ccounting records kept by
the d)arity and a comp*i8on of the accounts Fxesented with those record8. It also includes
consideration of ary unusual items or di8closure8 in accounts, and aeeks explanations frorn the
tNstees conceming any such matter3. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence
that would be required in ￿ audit, and Gonsequently I do not express an audrt opinion on the vlew
given by the accounts.
