adop¢Ed the provisions of A¢¢ounting #nd Reporting by Chariiies.. Statement of Recommended Practice appli¢abl¢ to charities
preparing their a¢¢ounts in a¢eordance with the Financial Reporting Sthnd2rd applicable in the UK and Re￿b]le of Ireland (FRS
102) (effective l January 2019).
OKJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objective5 and alms
To promote and support for the benefil of the fOTnrnunity, the provtsion and maiDtenance for the treatsnent and rehabiliÉation of
individuals affected or likely to be affected by sub5trmce misuse andlor addiclion and such pro¢edure$ and setvices relating thereto
within the Aberdeenshire area.
To use its income or such part or portion of its income as the Trn￿eeS deem appropriate or, in certain circurnstall￿, its eapiial and
to do all things as will properly attain the above purposes.
To incTease awaTeThe5s and undeistandiDg of the role of substanee misuse andlor addiction in society and enable itidividua]s to make
inforn)ed choices.
To help in the provisioD of ¢duration, treatment or couns¢lling of people who are affected by substance misus¢ andlor addiction and
thetr famili&s.
Grantmaking
The Trnst tw5 established its grant making policy to achieve its objects for the public benefiL The Trustees have power to appty the
Trnst Fund in the attainment of the Purpos￿ of the TNst and that to such an extent as they may frorn time to time thiuk fit and.
in50f￿ as a￿Y such income is not utilised in any one year il shall be retained by the Tntstees and used in the following ycar or years
forth¢ purpose5 of the Trust and in furtheTance of this power the Trnstees shall:

financial assistance.
b) Convene meetings of the Tnjstees on a minimum of one occasion in each year io ¢onsider any such written applications an¢ if

) Deterniine whether to make any grant frr)m the Trust Fund to ony applieaiion and, of so, whether any grant shall be repayable or
non-repayable
ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORIWCE
Charitsble activities
Th¢ Trust maintained and improved its oveTrll financial position and a grant of £710 was &w￿ded during the year wider report.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Reserves pvliey
The charity has mininwl operational expenses and sulTicient liquid fijnds are held to adequately cover ongoing exp¢nditure and ally
unforeseen operational costs. In addition, the availability of fvnds is carefully considered before any grant Awards made. The
balance of bank deposits at the year end totalled £66.345 which provided cover over 10 iimes the reported outlays ofthE year.
FUTURE PLANS
The trustees aim to continue to provide grant as$i5tance to worthy causes in furtherance of ihe obJecti￿S of the Tnjst.

The principal financial risk f￿¢d by the Trust lies in the perfornmnce of the invesimem ￿rtfoliO which generates the core income
for the Trn$L The tr4JStees wnsider the variability of investment rettwns and the uod¢rlying movement in the value of the
investments to be the main financial risks to the operation of the ch8Jity. These iisks are JDitigated by retsining expert investment
nwwers to professionally manage th¢ portfolio and by havin8 div￿5¢ investment trfirtfolio.

The fJnBncial statements of the charity, which 1$ a public benefit ¢ntity under FRS 102, have been prepar¢d in accordance
with the Charities SORP {FRS 102) 'Ac¢ounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statem¢nt of Reconunended Practice
appli¢able to charitle5 preparing their accoLmts in accordance with th¢ Finan¢ial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK
and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) {effeciii'e l January 2019),. Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Report￿£
Standard app]icable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the Charities Act 2011. The finallcial Statements have been
prep2red under the his¢ori¢al cost ci)rtvention.
Income
All incom¢ 15 recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the charity has entttlement to the fi￿ds, it is probable
that the income will be received and th¢ iunount can be mwured Teliably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as expenditure as soon as there is a legal or consttuctive obligation conllnitting the charity to that
expcnditllre, it is probable that a transfer of eeonornie benefils will bE TequiTed in settlement and the amoLll]t of the
obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditwt is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been ¢las8ified und¢r
headins5 that aggregate all cost related to the cate80ry. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to panicular h¢adings they
